Jungkook's POV

A week later

4 pm

I exit the bathroom, frustrated and lacking concentration in many of my daily activities because of the shit that happened in the hospital. It's more difficult because hanuel is not here, if she would be here, i am totally sure i would not feel so pissed even after a bad day at work.

Not in the mood to even hair-dry, i simply walk out my room with my laptop to go and sit down in the office, but before that, i grab my lighter and a cigarette. I walk downstairs to the kitchen.

I take a glance at june through the large windows, the one who's sitting down in the dining room while cutting the vegetable and ingredients for kimchi, busy in her work and yet, still managing to seem so admirable to me. I smile at her, but leave for the office with a glass of liquor, urgently feeling thirsty and dry in the throat.

I open the door to my office room, and i get inside it to not lock the door, letting it stay open for the only person other than me here to enter anytime she'd like. I go towards the window.

Since it's a rainy day today, i like it because the sound soothes me ever since and i pull the curtains away, taking the cigarette between my lips and i light it up, taking the first drag all the way down to my lungs for it to leave a nice long haziness in me, i squint my eyes as the smoke forms before my face, glancing outside at the trees and the flowers on which the pure delicate rain falls.

I take my phone in my hands, keeping the glass away for now. I check the time and realize that hanuel's camping activity is still not yet to be over anytime soon. The raindrops hitting on the window pane softly, i go to the table and replace the phone with my liquor.

Upon going back to the windows, i sit on the chair beside it but the sound of a car driving here surprises me. I thought she'd never be back, whatever. I stand up to look down at this black car stopping near the porch, i take a sip of wine, forgetting to smoke so i do that as well. I feel much better now.

A smile forming on my face which might be a painful one, i see eunwoo coming out of the car while speaking on the phone with someone, i've lost count, it may be that dark and tall guy i saw in her office the last time she let me come with her. Anyways.

I'm glad this does not affect me like it did some years back, thankfully. Feelings matter, and now that i don't have a single piece of love or affection left inside me anymore for my wife, i'm fine.

I know she knows it too. And she's not bothered anymore to be too hidden.

Taking half of the glass down just to clear my head out, i go back and sit down on the chair, keeping away everything to open the laptop to search for a good massaging centre, my damn back and neck feels rigid, i've been feeling this stiffness from the past week but this is getting worse now.

I find this one good place which has high ratings, and i lean forward to open it and inquire more. The knocks on the door distract me while i get ready to call the place.

"I'm sorry to disturb, mister jeon. Miss jeon is here." Her gentle voice brings me back to the senses, i lift my head at her, "that's alright, has she asked for me?" I ask her, gazing at her eyes which glance away, "no." She shakes her head, "I just thought to...inform you...about that." She makes me smile, "thank you. I'm working for some while, sweetheart, so just come to me if you need something, let eunwoo rest." I tell her in hidden words that i don't want anyone else around me except her.
