30| Merry-go-round

Jungkook's POV

Next day

8 am

"Daddy..." She shakes my arm and tries to get me off the bed, "wake up!" Hanuel screams once she's had enough of me lousing around on the mattress, she gets up and sits astride my shoulder, "wake up...." I stretch my arms out to relax my muscles, feeling tired and dozy already, but I grab my phone and look for the time, letting this bug play with my hair.

It's only half past eight a.m., why is she up this early?

"Daddy?" She gets down and holds my earlobe to speak in my ear, "I'm hungry. Miss kim isn't here to make me food." She plays with my long hair, reminding me that it's a Saturday. I haven't allowed our maid to be here for the weekends, and I also changed my mind about letting anyone else stay here with us.

How could I forget this?

"Oh," I smile but take my hands back and pick her up to put her down next to me; I stuff her under the blanket and turn to my left to hold her tiny body, "what do want to eat today, honey?" She keeps her arms around my neck, and her little baby lips kiss my cheek, her eyes look up from my chest cutely, "egg sandwich and milk."

"Alright," I sit up and keep her on my lap, feeling terribly cold, I shouldn't have taken off my shirt before sleeping. "I'll make it for you, but only if you read your book." I scratch my head and rub my face to heighten the energy inside my sleepy mind.

"Okay," she gets off the bed. Hanuel walks out of this bedroom, grabbing onto her storybook to go and read it while i get some time to wash my face and brush my teeth.

My mind only half awoken, the sweet memories of last night still cannot leave my head, no matter what I do, how much I try to focus anywhere else, I really expected her to take up the courage and tell me everything honestly, and she did. I honestly couldn't feel greater than how I felt after I got to know about her feelings for me, the one that's same as mine for her.

I still cannot trust myself. It's really so astonishing how my hidden emotions were sparked alive with just one touch from her.

Last night is always going to hold a special place in my heart.

I keep the slice of cheese into our plates, a bigger one for me and a normal sized for my baby who's currently eating her breakfast, "it's yummy." She stuffs the small pieces of fried egg in her mouth. "Oh is it?" I smile, frowning. Going further to her, I give her one more bagel and she smiles shyly but grabs it gently with her hand, nodding.

"Eat with me too." Hanuel sticks her fork inside the beans and raises her arm to try and feed me, so I don't complain but take that bite, only to see her little smile widen as I sit down next to her. "Enjoy your sandwich, daddy."

"Enjoy your meal too, love." I hold my fork and knife, and I cut the cheese with the egg to start eating some breakfast I tried to make for us.

"Will we meet miss song today too?" She asks, still having the food in her mouth, she chews on it but waits for me to finish swallowing the juice, "yes, we'll go there after breakfast, and then we'll all go to the amusement park, sounds great?" She gasps, excited and happy after hearing this small surprise both june and I planned for hanuel's birthday. "Yes..." she takes a big bite of her cheese.

"It's your birthday tomorrow but unfortunately, daddy and mom-" my tongue stepping back from addressing june as hanuel's mother, it causes my heart to beat a lot faster, I smile, wiping my lips to clear the oil off the skin.
