Undercover Cop

Chapter 5

    "Issac, you didn't have to do this!" Maxine giggled as she looked at her backyard. Issac had turned it into some sort of fairytale forest. Fairy lights hung along the gates and rails were covered in vines. Maxine didn't know what Issac was planning, all that she knew was that she was going to enjoy it a lot.

Hours had passed by like mere minutes. Maxine had spent the night laughing and sipping wine with Issac. It really was nice, spending time with him outside of work. She enjoyed the little things that the two did together. Wether it was going out for coffee, talking crap about the strangers that walked past, they even went wine tasting every once in a while. It was around 11:00 at night, and the two were slowly getting tired. Issac slowly opened up Maxine's back door, before walking into her living room and grabbing his coat off the coat rack. 

"Well, I'll see you on Monday, right?" Issac asked.

"Yup. See you in a few." Maxine responded. 

Then Issac did something that Maxine thought he would never do. He gently kissed her on the cheek before closing the door behind him. "Later, Maxie." He said.

Maxine was blushing. Hard. Did he really feel the same way? That question she wasn't able to answer, for a burlap sack had been placed over her head. She screamed, struggling to fight off the person who had put it on her head. But she shortly fell unconscious, alone in the dark of the sack.
