TWICE as Moms Series- Mina 💛

Mina is a newly single mom now to her 2 year old daughter Autumn. She means the work to her. Autumn's father, Mina's boyfriend James Shin walked out on them and left with another woman just a few months ago. Mina was heartbroken and he walked out on their child too. Autumn was a daddy's girl. She feels lost without her daddy. Mina is still heartbroken too as she really loved James and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. She never thought he could love another woman. Only her. She doesn't want Autumn to grow up without a father in her life especially a father who was close to her. She still wants him to be in Autumn's life as she loves her daddy but James hasn't been to visit lately since he walked out and left Mina. Well he's got a new woman in his life now. He didn't actually leave Mina for her but got with her after. Mina is trying to stay strong for her young daughter. She is only 2 years old and needs her mom. Autumn has been a little emotional lately. Mina thinks it's to do with her dad leaving. Obviously very hard for a 2 year old to understand. Mina is getting Autumn ready for bed. She bathes her every night and reads her a bedtime story. Mina is tired. She's had a long day of stress and can't wait to get to bed herself. She is singing sweet songs to Autumn in the bath. Autumn is singing with her and laughing away. Mina is singing Let It Go from Frozen, Autumn's favourite movie and song. She loves it so much. Mina sings and Autumn sings along with her. "That's my girl. That's my baby" Mina said. "Love you, mommy" Autumn said. "Love you too, baby girl. I love you so much" she smiles. Mina gets Autumn out of the bath and dries her before getting her into her pjs. "What should mommy read you tonight, my love?" Mina asks. "Ehhhhhh Cinderella" Autumn said pointing to the book. "Absolutely" she smiles. Mina grabs the book and reads to Autumn. Autumn yawns and falls asleep next to Mina. She tucks her into bed and kisses her Goodnight and walks out quietly

The next morning and Mina is up early for work as usual of course. Autumn is up too as she goes to nursery when Mina is working. She doesn't always like going but obviously has to go somewhere when her mom is working. Mina had a long and stressful day yesterday and she's not really in the mood for work. Autumn seemed sad when she got up this morning. Mina is not sure if she's feeling sad, unwell or just tired. She hopes her baby is okay for later. Mina is getting breakfast for herself at home. Autumn will have breakfast at nursery when she gets there. Mina is sat at the table having cereal for breakfast before getting herself and Autumn ready for the day. She goes into Autumn's bedroom when she's finished breakfast and she was crying in bed. Mina looked so worried and concerned for her daughter. "What's the matter, baby?" she said. Autumn sits up in bed and falls into Mina's arms. "Auttie. What's the matter, sweetie? Tell mommy" she said. Autumn keeps on crying and doesn't speak for a couple of minutes. "Daddy. Want daddy" she wails. "I know, sweetie. Daddy still loves you, baby. Don't you ever forget that" Mina says softly. She holds Autumn in her arms for a while and calms her down. She cradles her and kisses her head softly. She eventually calms down enough to go go nursery and Mina to work. Mina knows how much Autumn is missing her dad so she calls James in her lunch break. "Mina" he says. "James, hi" she said. "What's up? Everything okay?" he asks. "Yeah everything's fine. Well I was wondering if you could pop over for a bit later. Autumn was pretty upset this morning before I took her into nursery. She'd like to see you. She thinks you've forgotten about her" Mina said. "Okay I'll have to see and get back to you later" James said. "James, you're being very selfish as usual. Your little girl is so upset because she thinks you've left and forgotten about her. Anyway we shouldn't involve Autumn with this mess with us. It's our situation" Mina said. "I'll try my best, Mina. You like I still love Autumn and try to be s good father to her" James said. "Okay let me know" she said hanging up. Autumn just wants to see her dad. By 6pm James hasn't contacted Mina to tell her if he's coming tonight. She hasn't told Autumn as she doesn't want to excite her and get her hopes up. Mina has just got dinner for herself and Autumn and they are sat at the take spending some mother and daughter time together. Suddenly the doorbell goes and she answers it. It was James. "You didn't tell me you were coming" Mina said. "Sorry I just thought I'd come by" he said. "Daddy!" Autumn said running to James. "Hey, baby girl. How are you?" he said. He picks her up and she smiles. "Well like I said Autumn was pretty upset this morning about you. This is the least you can do" Mina said. James smiles. He sits on the couch and spend some time with Autumn while Mina tides up after dinner. She washes the dishes and cleans the table like usual. Then she sat on the couch with James and Autumn. "I won't stay too long as I know she'll be getting tired" he said. "Stay a bit longer" Mina smiles. James stays almost an hour with Autumn and spends some time with her. "Thanks for listening to me and coming to see our daughter" she said. "No problem. I enjoyed spending time with her of course" James said. "James, you should come more often when you have time. A couple of nights a week if you like to see Autumn of course not me" Mina said. "Yeah sure. I'll see both of you" he chuckles. James walks out of the door and leaves. Mina is happy he made an effort and came to see Autumn tonight. Well she had to make him

Autumn has still been feeling emotional and Mina has been getting her help. James hasn't come to visit for over two weeks and Autumn is missing him a lot. Mina has tried to explain that daddy still loves her and he's coming to visit soon. Mina doesn't know when he's going to visit. She's starting to think that James isn't bothered about little Autumn anymore. She doesn't know yet. Mina had just bathed Autumn and got her into bed for the evening. Mina is having some time to herself before she heads to bed herself for the night. Mina is sat comfortably on the couch when the doorbell goes. She gets up and answers it and it's James's new girlfriend, Penelope. She had a sad look on her face. Mina has only met her once. "Penelope, hello" Mina said. "Mina" she said. "Come in" she said. "Thanks" Penelope said. "Are you okay?" Mina asks. "No no" Penelope sobs. Penelope takes a seat on the couch next to Mina. "Mina, there is something I need to tell you. Something you ought to know" she said. "Okay what? You seem upset about something. I can only guess it's James" Mina said. "James is dead. He was involved in a car accident last night and was killed. I just can't believe it" Penelope sobbed. Mina sat there stunned at what she just heard from Penelope. "What? James is dead? I can't believe it" Mina said. "I know it's so hard. It was only last night but I had process. I had to let you know as he's the father of your child, Mina. I can't imagine growing up without a father. James was a good man. He will be missed" Penelope said. "Yes he was. I loved him, Penelope. I did love him when we were together" Mina said. "I know, I know" she said. Mina puts her arm around Penelope and hugs and comforts her. Penelope leaves when she has dried her eyes. Mina cried after. The father of her child is dead and she can't believe it. How can she tell Autumn that her daddy is dead and never coming back? The next morning, Mina is awake early as she couldn't sleep at all after hearing the news about James last night. It hasn't sunk in or hit her again. She has to be strong for her little girl Autumn. She has to raise her on her own this time. Mina goes into the kitchen to make herself breakfast before getting Autumn up. She doesn't really feel like eating but she has to. When Mina had eaten a bit, she got Autumn up for the day. "Morning, baby" she said walking into her room. "Mommy" Autumn replies. She takes Autumn into the kitchen. "Mommy, why are you sad?" Autumn asks. "I'm okay, sweetie. Just tired" she replies. Mina went silent for a few minutes. She couldn't keep it to herself. "Autumn, mommy needs to talk to you about something" Mina said. "Okay" Autumn replies. "I don't know to explain this. Sweetie, daddy had an accident and went to heaven. He loved you very much" Mina said. "What? I will never see him again" Autumn bursts into tears. "Baby, this is so hard for you to understand but your daddy was a good man. He loved you very much, Autumn. You were his girl" Mina said. She holds Autumn in her arms and comforts her as she was crying. That was so hard for Mina to do. She just couldn't do it. How could she tell her daughter that her daddy is dead and never coming back? So hard

It's been more than a month since James died in the accident. It's not been easy for Mina and Autumn. Autumn has been pretty emotional as expected. She doesn't understand that her daddy is dead and never coming back. It's also been hard for Penelope. She obviously didn't know James as well as he knew Mina and shared a child with him but she cared about him a lot. He was a good man despite going off and leaving Mina. Both women have been supporting one another through this grieving process. James's funeral was a hard day. Obviously Autumn did not attend as she's only 2 years old. Mina has been taking her to his grave plot at the crematorium. She's obviously too young to understand about death but she'll understand when she's a bit older. Mina and Autumn are going to visit James's grave today to lay down some flowers and say a prayer for him. Mina has a strong faith and attends church with Autumn. If she married James, it would've been in a church of course. They arrive at the crematorium. Mina gets Autumn out of the car and they walk over to James's grave. Autumn has the flowers. "Place the flowers right in the middle, sweetie" Mina said. Autumn places the flowers right in the middle of her daddy's grave. Mina bends down to Autumn's level and they say a prayer for him and just pray in general. "James, I hope you are happy up there. Don't worry. I am looking after our daughter like I always do. I'm always here for our Autumn. You were a great dad to her" Mina said with a tear in her eye. Autumn turns around and hugs her. "I love you, mommy" she said. "I love you too, my Angel sweetie. I love you so much. I will never stop loving you. Daddy loved you so much too" Mina said feeling all choked up. She kisses Autumn's forehead gently. They spend a little time by James's grave this afternoon. Mina and Autumn will never forget James even though he left them. Mina once loved him and Autumn loved her daddy so his memory will live on

A/ N: awe sad. I thought I'd change it up a bit and make this one sad. Poor Mina and Autumn. James did what he did but was still a good guy. I think the name Autumn is really pretty and nice that's why I chose it as the little girls name. Not one I'm necessarily going to use for my future child but I wouldn't really rule it out
