Nayeon and Namjoon go to the same school. They have both known each other since the start of high school and they have always harboured secret feelings for each other but neither of them know that as it's secret. Nayeon gets bullied and picked on for being different and Namjoon is always on her side and sticks up for her as he's in love with her and he doesn't want to see her get hurt and picked on like that ever again. Namjoon can't stand people who are nasty to each other especially to the girl he's in love with and who he's known since the start of high school

Namjoon and Nayeon have school today and they are in the same physics class together and they have that first thing in the morning as their first lesson of the day. Nayeon catches the bus to school every morning and Namjoon has a car and drives. Sometimes he gives Nayeon or other friends a lift to school. They arrived at school on time and go to class and find their seats towards the back of the classroom but not on the same table. They sit on nearby tables though. The teacher walks in and the lesson begins soon and they all get their notebooks out and start taking notes on what the lesson is about so they can study and revise for the exam coming up. Namjoon glances across at Nayeon. He sits back on his seat and looks at her. Nayeon doesn't look herself. She looks half asleep. After lesson they both leave to go to their next one. Nayeon walks behind Namjoon and he sees her. "Hey, you okay" he said. "Yeah I'm fine" she said. "Nayeon, I know you better than that. I know when you're not okay" he says. "Namjoon,oppa I told you I'm fine so please leave me alone" Nayeon said. "Okay I was just wondering if you were okay as I was concerned about you" Namjoon said. "Thank you for your concern, Namjoon but I'm fine" she said walking away from him. Namjoon thinks there is something going on with Nayeon so he's going to try and get to the bottom of it

About a week or so has passed and Namjoon is still worried and concerned about Nayeon and how she is doing. He's still getting to the bottom of what's going on. He thinks she's really not herself at all. He wants to ask her what is wrong so he can try and help her. He's tried asking but Nayeon wasn't answering him. She kept on blanking him and walking away from him. Namjoon wants to find out what's going on with Nayeon and he can maybe help her. He is going to the library to borrow some books. He feels like he might see Nayeon there as she usually goes to the library on her free periods so he might be able to talk to her about things. Namjoon walks in the library quietly as you have to be quiet walking in. He looks at some books that he needs then sits down at a table to look at them. Nayeon walks in a few minutes after him and sits at the same table as him. "Hey" he said. "Hi" Nayeon said. "You doing some studying" he said. "Yes" she replies. Nayeon didn't seem herself again from her tone of voice just then. Namjoon put his head down and carried on studying his book. They both ignore each other for a while as they get on with their stuff. "Nayeon" Namjoon whispers from across the table. "Yes, Namjoon" Nayeon replies. "What's up? Tell me what's wrong. We can talk it out somewhere" he said. "There is nothing to talk out and we are in a library too so shhhhh" Nayeon said. "Well let's go out then. Nayeon, I've been really concerned about you for these last few weeks so just tell me please" he said. "Okay then fine" Nayeon said sighing and getting up. They go over to the book corner and talk. "Sorry I didn't tell you this but these means girls are picking on me. I think you know Hwasa and her gang. It's them. They are hurting me and making me feel like crap. My grades are slipping and the principal is calling a meeting with my parents over it and I'm scared to tell them as my dad just lost his job too" Nayeon explains. Namjoon was speechless for a minute. "Why didn't you tell me? Honestly you can tell me anything. You know that. I can't believe those girls. They're horrible" he said. "Sorry I didn't know how to tell you. You're my only friend, Namjoon apart from Jeongyeon but I haven't told her either" Nayeon said. Namjoon puts his arm around her and comforts her to make her all better
