In the girl's dormitory 7:00AM

Mikan wakes up to her alarm after a five hour slumber. She was struggling to get to her dorm room last night. She had a troubling ending as usual, but found something that at least sooth her soul.

To put in perspective why, four patients after Makoto left the room. Another person came in and glares daggers at her. She was of course confused saying her usual "EEK" and question why was the person mad at her. That's when the person got really annoyed called her names. She responded by yelling please don't hate me. You can hit me if it'll help calm down. The person did hit her.

Unfortunately for Mikan, those who did her cries didn't give a damn about the "annoying" ignorate nurse. Also, the person in the office shut her up by pining Mikan, then forcibly taking off one of her socks, and stuffing it in her mouth. The person responded by telling her, she's a disgusting bitch.

Author's Note: At this point, you are probably questioning how many students are in this school. There are 16 people in each class, but the classes are split A-B-C-D-E. There's one for each grade level, so 77-A, 77-B, 77-C, 77-D, 77-E.... if 16 students are in each class that makes 80, then multiple it by each grade LV that's 240 ultimate students. However, I guess the # of students don't matter in this situation..... ANYWAY BACK TO THE STORY!!

Mikan, who was used to this treatment, was still terrified as hell. Wondering what was this person going to do with her. She didn't have to wait long because she started getting drag out of the room. Even though she has a limited perspective, she could tell by only hearing set of footsteps that they're the only ones in the hallway. She wanted to once again ask why does this person hate her, but still muffled she couldn't get anything out.

That's when she looked at the arm of the person holding on to her. She saw a scar, a scar very familiar to her. It was from the time she remembered one day back in middle school. Bullies wanted to do the 9000 degree knife challenge, and she was the "object," who they were gonna use it on. However, one thing went to another, the person who was holding the knife slipped burned themself, accidentally burned someone when they fringed it off of them. 3 kids got burned and for once, Mikan wasn't one of the victims.

That didn't stop the kids from trying to lie saying Mikan was the one who held the knife because she didn't want to talk. She didn't get a chance to defend herself, well it's more like she couldn't. The bullies threaten that they will kill her if she doesn't take the fall. So she gotten suspended for wielding a dangerous weapon and burning students. The only reason she wasn't expelled was because it wasn't that major.

To the principal at least, her mom was pissed and hit her with belt along with the "father".

The point is the one dragging her currently was one of the victims. She remembered everyone resented, including this person, for being chosen for Hopes Peak Academy. Most people let out their disgust physically and verbally. Some even threaten that "don't think your safe just because your special."

She realized that they must have took advantage of the 'visit the school' that was going on today. They must have looked her up and knew as the Ultimate Nurse, she would most likely be in the nurses office. She thought about it and second guess they saw her face instead of even bothering to remember her name.

Her thinking was disturbed the moment the moment, she was thrown, then kicked to the ground. Re-grasping the situation, she once again started to panic because a sock was still in her mouth. She heard talking, but wasn't really in the position to focus. All she knew was she was currently being kicked... over and over again.

For a moment, it felt like this will last for eternity. She was bleeding a bit, her screams were muffled, but she felt no one would help her even if they could hear her scream. It stop for awhile..... she wasn't sure if they were gone, since she had her eyes close the entire time. However, what she saw once she opened them bring her back a feeling of terrible nostalgia.

A knife, a sharp blade, it was intimidating.... she really wanted to move, but someone pinned her down. She still being unable to process what was said, there was not a lot she could do. She was in fear of getting another wound. Even if she's used to the constant torment and bullying doesn't mean she accepts it.

She wanted friends, she wanted to know what it was like to be happy. Her first year at Hopes Peak Academy didn't do her justice. Although there was a "decrease" in the number of bullies that doesn't mean in decreased her torment all that much.

To her, she desires so much, but never ask or feel like she deserved anything she asked for. She even has an entire bucket list of what she desires, but she was never able to fulfill any of them. She had no one who loved her, she had no one that tolerated her presence, she has no one that wished for her to exist.

Until a realization came... one that put light back in her world..... something that makes her heart warm......she can check something off her bucket list..... she made a friend..... someone who would listen to her, care what happens to her...  someone who was willing to tolerate her. Although they've only met today, she felt like she could believe in his generosity towards her. It may be out of pity, she assumed, but he was considerate.... nice to her. She let him escape the first time, but next time for sure; she'll make sure the boy, Neagi Makoto, won't leave her alone.

She was drooling and although the sock in her mouth prevents her from smiling or letting out much audible noise such as her giggling. She was so far from reality thinking of ways to prevent Makoto from ever leaving her. Even her eyes, from an outsider's POV, they would misunderstand it as ones of a masochist. In reality, her expression are representing.

Time Passed, Mikan snapped out of it and saw a light she was familiar with. She sat up and saw she was in the nurse's office. The first question she had was when did she get, then how, then why. No one was in the room for her to ask. What she does know from the clock in the room it was 12:28 AM.

Mikan: Ehhh, I better clean up before going to my dorm

She tried her best to get it as neatly as possible, but had trouble due to exhaustion. Which is weird, she seemingly woke up just a few minutes ago.... after awhile she was cleaning the nurse's beds. Until she stop at one and notice a green jacket on the bed. Realized immediately as Makoto's jacket. She was glad if he forgot it means he would have wanted to keep talking to her. She held and instinctively sniffed it. She decided to bring it with her.... she might give it back.... maybe.... she really didn't want too, but knew it be wrong if she did. But his scent wasn't supporting her will to do the right thing.

So she took it with her back to her dorm and after changing. She put in on before going to bed. It felt like she was being hugged. She never thought this feeling could come from wearing someone else's clothes. She believed it was because she never felt this warmth from any other person in her life. She was able to fall asleep with the thought of someone by her side. She started giggling.

Mikan: Good Night, Naegi
