Detention was so not fun. It was one of the most boring few minutes of my life. I wasn't even being dramatic. The teacher in charge was our English teacher, Mrs.Grace who was in her 50's. Just like those typical movie teachers, she had glasses which were about to fall of from the tip of her nose. She was completely immersed in her book and wasn't being attentive or she didn't give two fucks.
I sat on the back of the class intentionally as I knew that this is going to be so boring. But I knew how to keep my boring at bay. I started drawing Mrs.Grace as the boring women she is. There were veins and branches coming out of her seat.
After a few more minutes, I was totally engaged in my drawing when the door to the room opened and in came none other that Marcus Cohen. I only talked to him once and that was when Caden introduced his friends to me. He seemed like a nice guy.
Ms.Grace stared at him bored. And Marcus gave her a toe curling grin. Even boring Mrs.Grace started blushing. He walked inside the class like he owned us, the benches and the chairs. To my surprise he pulled a chair in front of me and placed himself there. Before I went back to my drawing, he turned back and started talking.
"What's up?"
"The roof?" That's how bored I was.
Marcus gave me a boyish grin. I'll give you one. Marcus was hot. Like super hot. He had this long messy black hair, really shiny and I bet it's soft too. His eyes where two little emeralds. He had thick long eyelashes that brushes his cheeks every time he blinks with a jaw that could cut through my poor heart. And his brows where thick and it's shape was much better than mine.
"Like what you see?" Caught in the act, I looked anywhere but him, a blush creeping up my cheeks. He seemed to enjoy it as he looked at me with a weird expression.
"Do you pluck your brows?" I asked him rapidly. He was beyond shocked.
"What?" Playing dumb are we now?
"Your brows, do you pluck them? It's weirdly in shape." I pressed.
"Um...If I say I don't you won't believe me but it's a family trait actually. I got my brows from my mom." He said looking embarrassed.
"Hmm."
"Can I ask you something?" I nodded. "Why do you always put your hair in a bun."
"It doesn't have a specific reason. I just don't like how my hair looks down." I shrugged. He just nods thoughtfully but looked like he had more to say.
"Is Caden okay?" I asked him.
"He'll live."
"After I broke up with him, I felt like I shouldn't have broken up with him so hastily when you guys were there. I felt bad."
"If you don't want to date him anymore, it's completely your choice. Don't let those dumb heads make you think twice. We were all fine with what happened. But it was a first."
