Hearing that question from dad made me wonder ' was he also having doubts'
No no , that was not what I needed right now , mom didn't trust my word anymore but I could still control dad , I hope mom hasn't put words into his head .
"You see , she can't give you a reply , this means am right " mom yelled and I was drawn out of my web of thoughts .
" Wait a minute ..Jessy will answer my question give her time "Dad said and I began to think of an excuse to throw them off my track .
"Jessy I believe your dad asked you a question can't you give him an answer ?" Mom said
Just then my siblings came in .. What were they doing here and why now.
"Good day dad " Joan greeted and then faced mom to do the same.
Meanwhile Julin and Ben stood like rocks and didn't say any thing .
Such as Bryan and I became close that was the same way Julin and Ben were but I don't think theirs is like the perfect love I had for Bryan .
Ben believed every word of Julin , he never doubted her and he trusted her judgement on anything and everything.
Where as Joan was the resevered type ..she preferred occupying her own space , one would say she was an almost invincible part of the family but one thing was for sure ..Joan wasn't stupid , her silence wasn't her weakness it was actually her strength.
There was actually a time when Julin told Mom that Joan had a crush on a guy in our class and mom called Joan aside and gave her the warning of her dreams .
Julin expected Joan to come to her and transfer the aggression but instaed Joan went ahead to hug Julin and thanked her for finally revealing what she couldn't to our mom . I watched how it happened and just laughed at how naive Joan was . She believed the world was pure and that there was good all around .
Joan was a professor, she loved teaching and educatingg others , Julin was a Full time Lawyer ..she has made a name for her self with the teachings of our mother who was also a Lawyer ..she taught Julin everything she knew.
And last but not the least was Ben who was an Accountant . Everyone in my Family was independent.
" Dad Julin would like to go shopping with Sara " Ben said
Sara was the soon to be wife of Bryan but that was if I let it happen.
"She has my permission since it's Sara then there's no problem" Dad said.
"Aren't you going with them Joan ?" Mom asked
"No mom , I have to go to college...the students will soon be arriving" Joan replied with a smile indicating she had no hard feelings about the marriage.
" And you Ben , what would you be doing for the meantime because it seems everyone had somewhere to go" Mom said giving me a hard glare that seemed to send chills down my body .
"I'll be accompanying Julin and Sara and also get something for my self " Ben replied .
" Thanks Dad ..see you later mom " Julin said and went out with Ben behind her .
"Does that mean I can go ?" I asked immediately.
" Yes , you can ..send my regards to my son please " Dad replied .
"But..." Mom tried speaking but dad cut her off
"she's an adult now please don't stop her "
Mom couldn't say anything so she nodded .
"Thanks Dad ..I love you " I hugged him and dashed out to go because I had already packed my bags .
It was time for the true bride to arrive .
