In Do-yun's perspective.

(MENTIONS OF ABUSE)

I felt Sang-wook's arm around me. His hand that was rough felt so.. soft on me. It made me feel comfortable around him, the grip he had on me caused my body to fall into his. I almost died when his thumb caressed my cheek.

HIS THUMB CARESSED MY CHEEK, I'M GOING TO DIE.

I held onto him, keeping my arms around him. I could even feel a sort of rough patch of skin through his shirt. Maybe this was the burn mark he had told me about. I decided to ignore it, my head laying on his shoulders. Even though I was half asleep, I could feel his eyes on me.

"Agassi.." I heard a faint voice. It didn't sound like anyone in the building, and it definitely didn't sound like Sang-wook. It sounded like.. me.

I fell into a much deeper slumber, the voice becoming louder. It sounded upsetting, and it started becoming deeper and deeper. When I opened my eyes, it was black. Pitch black. I could see my body, and I still had the same clothes on. A door knob appeared in front of me, and no matter how many times I told myself not to open it, my body betrayed me.

I gripped the handle and swung the door open, being greeted to my old childhood home. It wasn't in shambles like it was now.

My large canopy bed in the middle of the room, a fluffy white carpet underneath it with barbie dolls and dried up pieces of slime on it. My favorite pair of flats were propped up against my bed. The flats with the shiny baby pink bow on it. I loved those, but we had to get rid of them because I grew out of them. I turned to see my dresser, a tv on top of it. I knew who's house I was in. I was in my father's house.

I then heard a little girl scream. I knew exactly when this was. I knew the time, date, month, everything appeared in my head. It was my 8th birthday, and it was the day my life had changed forever.

I ran through the same door I had come out of, being greeted to a long empty hallway with doors on each wall. I knew where my fathers room was so I ran to it. When I arrived, I opened the door. It was baby me and my father. Not only my father, but my mother. I had a large cut on my head and stomach while my father was holding my mother by her shoulders.

"You're a disgrace! I don't ever want to see you again! You hurt our daughter then get mad at me?!" He yelled.

"You shouldn't have fucked your secretary while I was in the goddamn hospital with your child!" She screamed back. Little me was in the corner covering my ears, my older brother holding me in his arms trying to stop the bleeding from my forehead.

"I told you once and I'll tell you again! Hell, put me through a lie detector test! I didn't cheat on you, I would never cheat on you! I fucking love you!" He let go of her.

"That's not what she said!"

"I fired her after she told you that because she's trying to ruin me! I'm telling you I didn't sleep with her, believe me, please!" He pleaded.

"Believe you?" She scoffed. "Look what happened to Do-yun!" She pointed towards younger me.

"You did that!" He yelled. "You think it's okay to throw a goddamn vase across the room and expect it to not hit anyone?! You cut our fucking daughter!"

She slapped him across the face. "I wouldn't have done it if you had owned up to what you did!" Then she threw her wedding ring on the ground.

My father picked it up, chasing after my mother when she walked out of the room. They continued screaming in the hallway for a little while longer until the door slammed. I ran out of my brothers arms and sprinted into the hallway, seeing my father on his knees having a breakdown. I hated seeing my father cry. He tried so hard to take care of me and my brother when our mother would leave and be gone for days on end.
