𝐀𝐤𝐞𝐦𝐢 𝐈𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐝, 𝐈𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫

Minami gave a confused look to Sakura as she spoke those words.

"Okay...talk about what? Is everything okay?" He asked worriedly.

"I was looking through your photo album and I...found this." She looked down and got out a photo.

A certain blonde hair walked through the hallways aimlessly. He was checking out the house as he's never been here before.

"I found a photo of you and Akemi. I just wanted an answer. You've never told me about it." Sakura continued.

The blonde hair looked confused at the mention of his name from the room ahead of him. He curiously walked closer to get a better look.

"I..." Minami stuttered looking down at the photo he had forgotten, "This meant nothing..." He replied, chuckling nervously.

"Minami," Sakura said calmly, "It's you and Akemi kissing. Why haven't you told me that you used to date or that you used to date men."

"I'm telling you Sakura, it meant nothing. It was a stupid thing I did in the last year of school. This stuff happens when you're in an all-boys school. I regret it."

The blonde head's eyes widened at that statement.

"Did that all mean nothing to you...?" He whispered to himself, "You..."

"Hey, I just want to know why you never told me...I have nothing against you have dated him, I just want to make that clear. It's just..." Sakura looked back at the photo.

"It's just what?" Minami asked.

"You seemed so happy in all those photos," She smiled at him, "That's all."

"I-"

"Are you gay?" She asked ripping the question off like a bandaid, "I don't mean to be insensitive but I want to know if this marriage is...real,"

There was a moment of silence.

"You're not replying Minami," She continued as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Sakura, That was back in high school, I-I'm not gay. I don't love Akemi, I never did, I love you." Minami replied.

Akemi who heard everything leaned against the wall and slowly sat down. His hand covered his mouth as he let a shaky breath out.

"You were lying this whole time?" Akemi whispered to himself.

"I..." Sakura looked away for a moment.

"Are you doubting me...?" Minami's eyes widened.

"I- I'm not. It's okay. We should rest, we have a long day tomorrow." She said, changing the topic.

"Sakura..."

"Let's please drop it, I believe you." She replied, giving him a reassuring smile.

"Okay then," He sighed, "You go ahead, I'll get some water."

Minami glanced one last time at her before leaving the room.

Akemi had left after hearing Minami's words before.

He walked down the stairs and headed to the backyard to cool his head.

He sniffled, fighting the tears back before running to the path which lead to a lake.

"That stupid Minami...I hate him!" Akemi cried, "Ugh!"

Minami was the one who said those words to him. I love you. He remembered it clear as day...and now? Hearing he never meant it...
