𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐇𝐚𝐬 -𝟐 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬

Minami stumbled into the hospital, still having a splitting headache from last night.

"Excuse me," Minami called the receptionist, "Is there a patient named Itome Sakura?"

"Relation?" The receptionist asked.

"Husband."

After a moment they replied, "She was released an hour ago."

"What?!" He cursed under his breath, "Thank you," Minami said before rushing out of the Hospital.

He called his driver to drive him back to the main house as it's the closest.

He anxiously waited in the car as every second seemed to be longer and longer.

The house came into view not so long after as he took deep breaths in.

Minami got out of the car immediately and headed for the front door only to see his younger brother standing there.

"Koshiro," Minami panted, waiting for him to move so he could go inside.

"Minami," Itome spoke with a cold voice.

"Can you please move so I can go in?" He asked.

"..." Itome scoffed at him in disbelief.

"What-"

Minami was interrupted by the door opening.

"Akemi!" Minami called, startling him.

"Y-yes?"

"Can you ask Koshiro to move? I need to go and see Sakura."

"..."

Akemi glanced at Itome as they communicated with their eyes.

"You can go in," Akemi finally spoke, "Itome and I need to go somewhere anyway," He walked towards the car, "Come," He called to Itome who still stood in front of the door.

Itome shook his head without explanation before leaving.

"What...?" Minami asked as he watched him, "Whatever," He entered the house and headed to his room.

Minami was filled with excitement ready to meet his child.

He impatiently opened the bedroom to see Sakura sitting up on the bed, holding the baby in her arms.

Sakura looked up at Minami, her smile slowly disappearing.

"Sakura," He smiled at her in disbelief before looking at the baby, "How is she doing?"

"U-Um she is doing fine," Sakura replied as clenched her fist from getting emotional.

"Can I...hold Arohi?" He asked, saying her name for the very first time.

Sakura slowly placed the baby girl in his arms and Arohi immediately started to coo at his touch.

"Aw, you're so pretty," Minami looked at his baby in awe, "Just like your mother."

The baby giggled, gripping Minami's finger as he held her close.

Sakura watches Minami closely as her baby slowly drifted off to sleep in his arms.

She wanted to focus on what was happening now but her mind kept taking her back to what Itome told her last night.

Her smile wavered as she felt tears well up in her eyes.

The frustration and tiredness got to her and she let out a sniffle.

Minami looked up from the baby, his smile turned into a frown when he saw his wife was crying.
