The car ride back to the mansion was in silence.

Minami sat next to Akemi and stuck close to him since the time he was awake.

Itome glanced at them from the other side of the car as they pulled into the driveway.

"Minami," His mother called, "You go upstairs to your room and rest okay?"

"My room...? Uh..." Minami stuttered.

"I'll take him." Akemi interrupted without a thought.

"Alright then," She replied, "We'll explain everything to you tomorrow, for now, get plenty of sleep."

"Explain?" Minami asked, "Why was I in the hospital?"

"Don't worry about it now," She smiled, reassuringly.

Akemi lead him up to his bedroom and helped him get in bed.

"I'll leave you be now, rest well," Akemi spoke in a low voice before turning to the door.

"Wait," Minami grabbed Akemi's hand, "Stay."

"Please."

"..."

Akemi pursed his lips, not looking back at Minami.

He almost gave in.

He released his hand from Minami's grasp before leaving the room.

"I'm sorry I need to go."

Minami sat there in confusion before sinking into the bed.

It was the next morning. Minami was woken up by Itome, calling him to go downstairs.

"What happened?" Minami yawned, walking down the grand stairs.

"Come sit here," His mother smiled, patting down the seat next to her.

He did as he was told before turning to his parents to go on.

"Do you remember anything?" His father asked. Minami just shook his head in reply.

"Sakura was your wife..." His mother began, "You have a daughter called Arohi and-" She stopped, noticing Minami's look of distress.

"Is everything okay?" His father asked.

"My head is just...hurting..." He winced.

"It's alright then. We'll leave this for later. The doctor said he'll eventually regain his memories." His mother gently caressed his hand.

It was the afternoon. Minami had just finished his lunch and wandered around the house aimlessly.

He was told only to rest the whole day. No work at all.

He sighed, getting bored of doing nothing.

He found his way into the library, hoping a book would pique his interest.

His eyes glanced over every book until an old cover tucked away in the bottom shelves caught his eye.

If only it hadn't been covered in dust, it would catch anyone's attention in a room full of books.

He blew it, getting rid of some of the dust.
