Caius filled in paperwork and finished everything he had to while glancing at Beatrix a few times as she slept.
He could ignore how beautiful she was.
Her feminine fave and body made his dead heart begin to beat again.
She was perfect and mabey even more perfect than Athenodora.
He looked at his work to see that everything was done which meant he had nothing to distract himself from her.
He looked at her before growling.
He could give in, not when he had finally found peace after finding out Athenodora was with the Romanian coven now.
He got up and walked to the bed.
He used his vampire speed to take off his blazer, tie and shoes leaving him in his dark red dress shirt that now has three buttons undone at the top and his perfectly fitted suit trousers that weren't baggy but not too tight.
He sat on the bed and watched her sleep.
"You have no idea how much I wish I could give into you" he muttered before grabbing a book from the new nightstand.
She got into the bed and leaned against the fluffy pillows before opening his book so he could be near her while doing something he would say was a better use of his time.
After he smelt her blood that's when he realised that he would do anything to keep her safe.
He remembered how panicked he got once smelling her rich blood that he wanted to taste more than anything.
He thought she was dead with a newborn attached to her like a leach.
He never wanted to feel like that again.

The next morning she sat in the kitchens as the newly hired chef made her breakfast.
She felt exhausted after yesterday.
She slept amazing but she still had nightmares.
Caius only helped with some but not all.
She wanted to tell him but she knew he wouldn't care.
"Your breakfast miss.
We have a plate of rich and fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked toast in freshly made bread and fluffy butter.
If you need anything else don't hesitate to ask" said the chef before walking away.
"I could do with one thing, a shot of whiskey or any alcohol," said Beatrix.
"Yes, miss," said the chef.
Beatrix smiled before she started to eat.
She had never had a breakfast this good but something was ruining it and it was Caius.
The chef gave her the shit she wanted which made Beatrix slightly more joyful.
Beatrix shot the whiskey down before continuing to eat.
One shot would do anything to her.
It wouldn't even get her tipsy but that wasn't the point.
She liked the taste of whiskey and the whiskey in the tower was heavenly.
"Good morning Beatrix, Caius has requested your presence in the throne room after breakfast" Alec.
"Why?" said Beatrix.
"You will be joining Caius for a trial so please do not be late," said Alec before walking away.
"Ok," she said before eating again.
She knew Alec was still there so being late wasn't a worry.
She was early for everything anyway.
