Chapter 21

In the central plaza

Third person p.o.v.

"Has anyone spotted her?" Detective Tsukuachi brought the clipboard to his side.

"Oh! You mean that quiet girl!?" Present Mic accidentally activates his quirk, sound waves vibrating as Midnight pats his shoulder.

"Yes Mic, the quiet girl with h/c hair." His eyes widen as he nods his head.

"Ah! Now I remember! She's the one who also participates a lot in my classes!" Midnight nods her head, waving her hand as she refers back to what Detective Tsukuachi had said.

"Didn't she go back with the rest of the class on the bus?" He sighed and shook his head.

"No, the students say she didn't. But from the information I have, this class has twenty students, and all nineteen were on the bus other than the green-haired boy." Midnight giggles.

"Nezu must have forgotten to add her! She is the youngest student in the class after all, from what I know, it must have been a small slip. But no, the class has twenty-one students, Tsukuachi." He nods his head and notes the information down on his clipboard.

"Present Mic and Midnight, please inform the other heroes of the disappearance of the student Y/N L/N, and if anyone were to find her, report immediately. I'd reckon it's best to start searching in the Landslide Zone, that's where she had been spotted last." They both nod their heads and begin the search for the quiet yet snarky student.

"Hey, Ectoplasm! Can you help Midnight and I find L/N?" The math teacher of the girl gasped in shock.

"L/N? I thought she was with her classmates-"

"Apparently not! So will you help us find her?" Midnight interjected, rocking back and forth on the balls of her heels, hoping to have another member join the small search squad.

"Most definitely!" Midnight and Present Mic both nod their heads and face Ectoplasm.

"Let's split up and search in all the zones. I'll head to the Landslide Zone as well as the Mountain Zone and search there since she was spotted there last with Endeavor's son." Midnight perks up.

"I can search the Shipwreck Zone and the Conflagration Zone as well as check once more in the Central Plaza." Ectoplasm then replies.

"Then I'll check on the remaining zones, Flood Zone, Downpour Zone, and Ruin Zone. I'll make my way from the Downpour Zone to the Flood Zone and finally check in the ruin zone."

"Meet up at the fountain in the Central Plaza once you find her."

They all spread out and as said, ectoplasm first makes his way to the Downpour Zone and activates his quirk to use his clones to help locate the missing girl faster.

Sprinting from different sections of each zone as the other two pro heroes in the small search party. Having Midnight begin the search in the Conflagration Zone and Present Mic the Landslide Zone, finding footsteps imprinting on the ground of the h/c girl.

In the Landslide Zone

"That's weird." He brought his fingers to rub his chin, in deep thought. "The footsteps end here and then vanish." Crouching down he touched the ground, feeling the further ends of the ground.

"How?" He shaked his head heading over to his next assigned zone, the Mountain Zone.

In the Conflagration Zone

"L/N sweetie! Where are you!?" The R-rated hero bounced around the Conflagration Zone, thankful that her hero costume was fireproof as waves of fire roared in all directions.

"L/N~" She cooed, releasing a misty gas as a few remaining villains walked up to her, tying them a rope and leaving them at the side before continuing to call for the h-c girl.

"L/N sweetie~ Where are you~"

In the Ruins Zone

"Please tell Mic and Midnight that she's not in the Downpour or Flood Zone." The peg-legged clone made its way out of the ruined zone and off to find said people.

"I really hope either Mic or Midnight have found her," Ectoplasm muttered to himself, calling for the remaining clones to explore a few abandoned buildings in the area.

Heading into the abandoned building, he decided it'd be best to call for a spare clone to search the second floor as he himself was the first.

Darkness was the first thing he met, the only source of light pouring out of one of two broken windows, one on the left of the room and the other on the right.

"That's weird, I don't think the window was broken before when the staff and I came to check." He thought out loud, referring to when he and a few staff members had come in the morning to prepare everything for the students' rescue training.

"Though, a villain might've broken it..." He sighed as he hobbled in with one leg, moving closer to the window to the window on the left in hopes of finding something.

"Just broken glass." Ectoplasm sighed once more as he moved to the opposing side of the room, hearing the sound of wood hitting against concrete.

"Did you find anything?" The clone took a step closer to Ectoplasm, opening its mouth to talk in the same way he had.

"I found a few vials of some yellow liquid, a trail led down here." Ectoplasm's eyes widen, a trail of yellow liquid?

"Find where the trail ended." Ectoplasm and the clone both moved towards the right of the room where the second window was, glass smashed into pieces.

Taking another step before almost tripping before his clone had caught him, pulling him up and helping him steady himself. Telling him thanks before checking what he had tripped on.

Crouching down and trying to move his hand around, touching the uneven surface.

"Use a flashlight." He commanded his clone, the clone obeying and using the torch, flashing it over the uneven surface only to be faced with a bloody piece of cloth. He touched it once more, taking a deep breath as the scent of blood filled the room.

Touching it and flipping it over, he gasped in shock and brought his hands up to his mouth, covering it. A body, a body covered in glass shards and a pool of blood filled with splotches of yellow.

He cupped the face of the body, being careful with the shards of glass and blood coated in yellow, pushing a strand of hair out of the face.

"L-L/N?"
