White unlocked the door of Black’s apartment and stepped in. The place looked exactly like the last time he'd been there over three months ago. Two weeks before Black was put into a coma.

He made sure to lock the door before walking over to the bed and laying down.

It was almost sunrise and he hadn't gotten any sleep. He'd drive around for an hour or so after leaving the garage trying to clear his head. He knew it was a bad idea to be on his own but he didn't care at the moment.

He took his phone out of his pocket and plugged it in to charge. It had died almost an hour ago and last he'd seen he had eleven missed calls from Sean and Gumpa and over thirty messages. He didn't feel like looking through them now so he just laid on his side and hugged one of the pillows to his chest for comfort.

  He felt so alone.

  He was alone.

Sean’s words echoed in his head.

He didn't understand why Sean’s attitude towards him changed all of a sudden. He'd been so kind and comforting the first few weeks he'd been staying at the garage and then suddenly he had turned cold towards him. It gave him whiplash sometimes. One second he was giving him a smile and the next he was saying something that hurt.

  White sighed.

He had been starting to think that he was making his own place in the gang but maybe he'd been wrong. They all still only saw him as Black’s little brother and not White.

He felt himself getting tired after a long night and his eyes started closing. He let sleep take over and fell asleep.

He woke up to his phone ringing and grabbed it to see who it was.

  Gram.

He answered and sat up still half-asleep.

  "Hello?" White said and yawned.

"White? Are you okay? Where are you?" Gram asked worriedly.

"I'm fine. I'm at P'Black's place." White said, pulling the phone away from his ear to check the time. It was nine in the morning. He'd slept for about four or five hours. "Shouldn't you be taking a test right now?"

"I could care less about the test right now. Do you have any idea how scared I was this morning when I woke up to a dozen texts from Sean saying you were missing?" Gram asked.

  "I'm fine." White sighed.

There was a moment of silence.

"Sean can be an asshole sometimes. He sucks at saying how he really feels. I know he probably said something that upset you and he deserves the cold shoulder but next time can you please come to my place instead of going missing for six hours?" Gram said.

"I needed some time to think." White explained.

"And what is your conclusion?" Gram asked.

White bit his lip knowing what he was about to say might not go down well with Gram or the others. But he wasn't going to let them stop him.

"I want to go on the mission with you guys Thursday night." White said.

"What? White, you can't. It's too dangerous." Gram reacted exactly the way he knew he would.

  "I'm not asking." White said.

  He heard Gram sighed.

"How about you come to the garage and we all talk about it?" He asked.
