BLACK

Black watched as Yok talked to his guy Dan.

Soon after Yok had called Dan explaining to him the situation Gumpa had told them that the garage was probably not the safest place to be at the moment. They needed a new hideout.

Yok's guy had offered his hideout and sent Yok the address.

Black was wary of going but Yok assured them Dan was trustworthy. Gumpa added that they didn't have any other options and Gram just looked at Black waiting for an answer. Sean agreed with Black but in the end they all grabbed what they could and headed to the Dan guy's hideout.

They'd brought tents with them to sleep and they'd set them up as Dan told them what he'd been able to find out in the time it had taken them to get there.

According to Dan, his connection who happened to work as a security guard in Todd's building said he'd heard employees talking about seeing Todd arrive that morning with some of his men and they were carrying an unconscious White who looked all beat-up. They'd taken the private elevator up to the penthouse.

Black wanted to go storming into Todd's building and get his brother back that same day but Dan had advised they wait. If they wanted to sneak in they'd need to make a plan. White's life could be in danger if they got caught before they made it in and they only had one chance to make a surprise attack. If they got caught it would be impossible to get White out and who knows what would happen to them.

Black hates it but he saw Dan's reasoning.

"Dan said he'd get word from his connection by morning. Don't worry we'll get White back soon." Gram said, sitting down next to Black.

"I just can't believe I haven't seen my brother in four months. I think that's the longest we've gone without talking or seeing each other." Black said, still looking at Dan and Yok.

"White has been by your bedside these past four months. You might not have been able to see him but he's been there talking to you and keeping you company." Gram said.

Black hated that he'd worried White for four months. If he had been in White's position and had to see his little brother lying in a coma for four months he'd go insane. He'd probably hunt whoever did that to him and rip them to shreds.

"Did you really bully White for the first month and a half I was in the coma?" Black turned and looked at Gram who looked immediately ashamed. "Why?"

"I was jealous of him. Back then I didn't see it but now I do. I was jealous that he knew you way better than I did and you hadn't trusted me enough to tell me you had a brother." Gram said, looking down at his hands.

"Me not telling you didn't have anything to do with trust." Black said, trying not to sound as pissed as he was that he'd been mean to White. He could tell Gram regretted his actions and from what Yok had said Gram had made up for his behavior by looking out for White.

"I know that. White explained to me why he thought you didn't tell me or any of the others about him." Gram looked up and glanced at Black.

Black could tell White had told Gram the truth which kind of pissed him off. He never wanted anyone to know about his childhood. It was something he only shared with White and didn't want others telling him their opinions or feeling sympathy because they had shitty parents. They didn't understand what it was like and they never would. He didn't give a fuck about their thoughts on the matter. The only person whose opinion he cared about was White.

But if White had told Gram then he must've felt like he needed to do it and trusted Gram to not tell the others. It didn't seem like any of the others knew so obviously Gram had kept the conversation between him and White. White wouldn't have told Gram if he wasn't sure that Black trusted Gram and he was right. Out of everyone in the gang Gram was the one person he would've eventually told about his childhood and about White. But things didn't work out how Black had pictured and instead Gram had learned about White's existence by seeing him as he was leaving Black's apartment after having an argument.
