𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐲 𝐌𝐞 (𝐀 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐌𝐞 𝐀𝐔)

𝚠𝚑𝚒𝚝𝚎

  White got discharged from the hospital and after Gumpa assured them his connections in the hospital would make sure Black was safe until they could sneak him out safely they all left.

  Gumpa got Sean to share his room with White and White argued against it saying he could just sleep on the couch but Gumpa told him it was best if he shared a room with someone just in case of an emergency. White understood exactly what he meant. Earlier that day there had been some complications with Black’s state and White had felt it too and fallen down in pain.

  The first few nights sharing a bed with Sean were awkward.

  White was a cuddler and he didn’t want to accidentally cuddle Sean in his sleep. It would be mortifying to wake up and find out he had. So he got very little sleep those first few days.

  He could tell Sean was also wary about falling asleep next to White.

  But finally the fourth night they both were exhausted from not getting a good night sleep in days and they fell asleep the second their heads hit the pillow.

  White woke up in the middle of the night to find Sean tossing and turning on his side of the bed. He was also sweating a lot and was frown. It looked like he was having a nightmare. White tried waking him but it was to no avail. Sean wouldn’t wake up and instead he turned and reached for White and when he got ahold of him he pulled him towards him. White stiffened as he was hugged by Sean in his sleep but once he realized Sean was calmer and wasn’t going to wake up he started getting drowsy once again and ended up falling asleep.

  White opened his eyes in the morning and found Sean’s face right next to his and he was just staring at him.

  “You had a nightmare.” White said like that would explain why their limbs were all tangled together and they were in each other’s arms.

  Sean’s room door suddenly slid open and they both quickly sprung away from each other. Sean ended up on the floor.

  “Ooh what did I just walk in too?” Yok asked, giving them both a smile and raising his eyebrows.

  “Nothing!” Sean said as he quickly stood up. “What the fuck do you want?”

  “Grouchy this morning.” Yok rolled his eyes but then smiled again. “Gumpa said to come down for breakfast. He has some new information to tell us about what Black was up to.” He looked over at White and gave him a warmer smile. “Gram is already down there.”

  “We’ll be right down.” Sean said, looking over at White before turning back to Yok. “Tell Gram if he even starts with his attitude today I’ll kick his ass.”

  “Alrighty.” Yok said. “See ya.” He slid the door closed.

  Sean started getting dressed and White got up from the bed and did so as well.

  “You don’t have to defend me from Gram’s comments. I can take them.” White said after a minute as he looked around trying to find his glasses. “He’s just upset about what happened to Black.”

  “He shouldn’t take it out on you.” Sean said walking over with White’s glasses and putting them on him. “You haven’t done anything wrong.”

  “Thanks.” White said and they stared at each other for a few seconds before Sean took a step back and turned and walked away.

  “We should head down.” Sean said.

  White followed Sean out of the room and down the ladder. Gumpa, Yok, and Gram were already sitting around the table eating and there were two empty plates for Sean and White on the table. They sat down and White tensed when he saw he was sitting across from Gram but tried not to show his discomfort.
