"I'm wide awake," the radio blared.

        "I'm not awake," I muttered.

I got up because, guess what? Today is the first day of school and it was 7:30 AM.

I grabbed my iPod and hooked it up to the speakers. With Katy Perry's amazing voice all of my fears suddenly seemed to vanish. The fears of starting another year at the prison for children and the fear of nobody liking me ran off. I didn't care what people thought why should I now.  I tore the shower curtain back and raced in. The music seemed to make the time go by like a blast of wind.

I started to spike up my hair and jump into my clothes and my crazy life came back to bite me like the freeze of the cold winter breeze. My parents had decided they were going to start screaming at each other for whatever reason. I did the usual and put my ear buds in and cranked up the music til I could feel it in my veins, coursing through, but also comforting me. Digging deep into my soul and leaving me impacted forever.

I hopped onto my bike racing to school. I watched as everything seemed to disappear in blending fusion of colors. Hearing the encouragement I needed, I decided not to go to school. I had had enough of the craziness and decided to make it down to Hollywood Boulevard. Leaving all of my things behind except my iPod, charger, ear buds, and wallet, I decided to leave it all and go. I'd had my sights on Hollywood since I was 8 roaming the streets of Santa Barbara. I knew that it was gonna be a struggle, but I might as well keep on going, I had nothing to loose. So goodbye ungrateful, disrespectful people, I got dreams to chase.
