Casita's Fall

Everyone knew what was coming. All the laughing stopped a few minutes ago but no one had moved. The only thing that had moved was Antoni, making himself comfortable on Mira's lap. They weren't looking forward to it, but they knew they had to. One thing was for sure was that it could be their only out of this room. No one knew how long it had been since casita had first brought them here, but it felt like hours and they were all starting to get worried. What if it had been days, what were the villagers thinking! All they knew was that they had to finish the film so that they could do their jobs. The film then unpaussed itself.

*Both Mira and Isa were still laughing together, until they heard a voice that made both of them worry*

Abuela: "What is going on?"

Abuela visibly flinched at how cruel she had been in the past. She wasn't looking forward to what would come next. No one in the room was.

Both sister sat up to see Abuela looking at them angrily but Mira puts her hands out with an ecstatic expression before trying to explain*

Mira: "Abuela? It's okay! Everything's..."

*Both of them stand up but soon the flowers start disapeering.*

"Isa, why did the flowers die?" Antonio asked her with a frown. Isa ruffled his hair before answering. "Tonito my gift is connected to my emotions just like your mom. But I have more control over it. But if I ever feel sad or nervous the flowers die, so that's what happen." she said. Antonio then hugged her which surprised her. When he let go, he smiled at her. 'So you don't feel sad anymore" he whispered smiling before going back to sitting on Mira's lap, leaving a smiling Isa.

*Mira then goes to explain what she's been doing since the dinner*

Mira: "We're gonna save the miracle. The magic-"

Abuela: "What are you talking about? Look at our home! Look at your sister!"

"I never thought I had ever been so selfish" Abuela whispered to herself, even though everyone heard her. But it was true, she thought if she was strict, she could protect her home, but in the end, it only lead to it's destruction.

*Even though she sees Abuela's expression, Mira still tries to explain herself ecstatically*

Mira: "Please just... Isabela wasn't happy."

*But Abuela still believes Mira may have caused a mess*

Abuela: "Of course she isn't happy. You ruined her proposal."

Both Mira and Isa flinched at the scene, it hurt to see it again, but this Abuela was different. She let Isa die her hair, she let them all meet people to love, she was less strict, this was a better version of their Abuela.

*When Mira hears what Abuela said, she still tries to justify her action*

Mira: "No, no, no. She needed me to ruin her proposal."

"Well you're right, you needed to ruin the proposal, or else... Ahem, <Marianes> wouldn't exist" Camilo said while chuckling. But Mira was confused. "Who's Marianes?" she asked. Camilo looked at her before chuckling. "Why the couple name of our dear Dolores's romantic relationship" he said, which caused him and Mira to laugh, only to be shushed again by Dolores.

Camilo couldn't help the joke, but when Mira laughed with him he didn't let his smile fall. He hadn't heard Mira laugh like that in a long time. The last time was... Wait when was the last time they even laughed like that. He racked his brain for the answer. Then it hit him like a dagger through the heart. The last time was the night of her gift ceremony. He also could remember a promise he had made to her on his. He had gone to the nursery to say goodbye to Mira and Casita. He got there to see Mira with two arepa con queso to celebrate. Before he left the nursery, he told Mira he would wait for her door to come so they could have a sleepover.
