Chapter 2 ( The Dark Knight )

It's been a few months since we got out of Arkam and I have to admit even though at first I was scared to death of Jonathan , now he's like a father to me . * we pulled up into the building in the black vans and some guys get out of one of the vans * . " See this is why we bring dogs " says one of the guys while bringing out the dogs from the back of the van . * they bring a victim out of one of the vans and throw him to the ground and they say something I can't quite under stand because if their heavy accents but apparently Jonathan could * . " I am aware , I said my compound would take you places , I never said they were places you wanted to go " Jonathan said while stepping out of the van and I fallow behind him . The dog guy said something else I cant understand and Jonathan said " if you don't like what I have to offer then you can buy from someone else , assume if batman left anyone to buy from " Jonathan said . * the dogs start barking * . " My dogs are hungry " the dog guy shouted . * he said something else I couldn't understand when suddenly a person who looked like batman started shooting at us * . " That's not him " Jonathan said paranoid . * the other guys started shooting back but the not-bat went up to Jonathan and tried to shoot him but Jonathan just sprayed him with fear gas . But the real batman's tank crashed through the windows * . " That's more like it " Jonathan said and the other guys started shooting at the real batman . But the real batman's tank shot back and real batman took down the fake bat and started taking down some of our goons . " Dang it , Zara get in the van ! " Jonathan shouted and I got in the van with him and he started driving but batman ( the real batman ) caught ahold of our van and started cutting it open . " Um I'm not taking any visits right now and I duck tape the hole . * batman eventually gets hit by a pole and falls off the van but suddenly batman flys right on top of our van and breaks it up but I hide under the seat so he can't see me and he ties Jonathan , not-bat , and some other guys on something and takes Jonathan's mask off his face * . " Dont let me catch you over here again batman says . " Were tryin to help you " Not-bat yells . " I don't need help " batman yells back . " Not in my diagnosis " Jonathan yells . * I get up from under the seat and grab my spear and get out of the van * I agree with them " I say . " You're just a kid " batman says . " Yea I know , it's awesome " I say . " what gives you the right , C'mon what's the difference between you and me " not-bat says . " I'm not wearing hockey pants " batman says while getting in his tank and flying off . " Idiot , he should've tied me up too " I say while cutting the ropes off of Jonathan . " Thanks Zara " Jonathan says . "you're welcome " I say while cutting the last rope off him .
Time leap
" Zara get ready we're going somewhere ! " Jonathan yells from across the house . " Where ?! " I yell back . " Hong Kong ! " He shouts back . * I walk into his lab * . " Hong Kong ?! " I ask . " Yes " he said . " Why " I ask him . " The Batman has been spotted there " .
Time leap
We finally arrived at Hong Kong and found Batman on top of a building . " So , you really think you could get rid of us that easy " I ask . " I knew I should have tied you up too " batman said . " Correct " Jonathan said . * Batman threw a batrang at us but it just ended up cutting a part of my shirt reaveling a B shaped scar I've had for my whole life * . * batman gasped when he saw the scar * . " What ?! " I ask him . " You're my daughter " he said " I gave you that scar so if I ever lost you I could find you " . * he reaches out to take my hand but I point a gun to his head * . " If you cared about me all that much you would've found me earlier than this " I tolled him emotionless . * all he did was step back and leave * . " Come along now , we've got to make it to Bruce Wyane's party " Jonathan said . " Ok " I say .

Were at at Bruce Wyane's party and I can tell Bruce Wyane is not very fond of Harvey Dent by the speech he just made for him .
Bruce Wyane's POV
* I was talking to Rachel out on the balcony and I see my daughter standing next to Jonathan Crane * . " Wait a second Rachel I see someone I know let me introduce you to her " I tolled Rachel .
Zara's POV
* I suddenly hear someone calling my name and I turn around to see Bruce Wyane * . " I am batman " he whispers in my ear . * I gasp * . " Let me introduce you to someone " Bruce said . " Um , ok " I say and fallow him . " Rachel I want you to meet Zara " Bruce said .Oh great it's that girl from the DA office Jonathan intoxicated with his fear gas . " It's nice to see you again Miss. Dawes " I say . " I'm sorry but have we met before " she asks . " Correct , I'm the girl Doctor Crane introduced you to before he intoxicated you " I tolled her . " Oh I remember now , but I must ask , when that happened were you helping him ? " she asks . " No not at that point ........ but now I am " I say and spray her with fear gas and walk out from the balcony . " We should probably go " I tell Jonathan . " ok " he says but before we could go the joker shows up ( oh and Rachel has waken up grime the fear gas ) . " Hello we are tonight's entertainment " the joker said after firing a few gunshots at the ceiling and eating a flower . " I only have one question , where is Harvey Dent ? " The joker asked . Then he went around the room asking people if they knew where Dent was , but finally he stopped at us , oh know he recognized us . " So if it isn't Jonathan Crane and Zara Smith " the joker said . " Leave them alone , and actually it's Zara Wyane . " Bruce said . " Oh c'mon you had to say that out loud " I complained . " Oh it doesn't matter " the joker said and kept going around the room and asking people where Dent was , and I realized Bruce disappeared . Joker finally got to a man that can defend himself " you know I'll settle for his loved ones " joker said . " Were not intimidated by thugs " the man said . " you know , you remind me of my father , I hated my father ! " The joker said while grabbing the mans head and holding up a knife . " Ok stop " Rachel said appearing from the crowd . " Well hello beautiful " the joker said while fixing his hair " Well you must be Harvey's girlfriend , but you are beautiful . " you look nervous , is it the scars ? You wanna Linwood how I got em ? " The joker said while holding her face and trying to get her to look at him . " I had a wife , who was a beautiful woman , like you , who tells me I worry to much , I outta smile more , she gambles and gets in real deep , and one day they carve her face , we have no money for surgeries and she can't take it , I just want her to smile again , I just want her to know I don't care about the scars , so I stick a razor in in my mouth and I do this , and you know what she can't stand the sight of me and she leaves , and now I see the funny part , I can't stop smiling . " The joker says . " Quit it ! " I yell at the joker as Rachel stomps on his foot . " You guys have a little fight in ya , I like that " the joker laughs . " Then your gonna love me " batman says and starts fighting the joker and the joker'a men . * suddenly the joker grabs Rachel and points a gun at her head * . " Put the gun down " batman says . " Ok I'll put down the gun if you take off your little mask and show us all who you really are " the joker said . * the joker shoots a big window and breaks it and holds Rachel at the very edge * . " Let her go " batman said . Very poor choice of words " joker laughs and drops Rachel out the window . * batman rushes out the window to save her and the joker knocks me out and kidnaps me * .
Time leap
I wake up on a hard , concrete floor handcuffed to the wall . " Hey boss she's up ! " One of the jokers yelled to the joker . " Why hello little one " the joker said while holding up my chin . " What do you want ?! " I ask him while pulling away from him . " Oh something little " the joker said . " What ?! " I scream . " don't worry your little head about it " he said .
Time leap
Later on the joker tied me up and put me in a truck . The joker was shooting at cops on the road when he suddenly grabbed me and held me over the road . " I know Harvey Dent isn't the real batman , so tell me who is and I won't kill this girl " the joker said . * the joker is about to shoot me when batman's tank flys into the air and batman grabs the bazooka and joker throws me back into the truck * .
Time leap
* I scream as the truck flips and there was a small explosion , it didn't me , but it got my leg . * . " AAAAHHHH !!!! " I scream as fire burned off my leg .
Gordon's POV
I am just talking with the crowd and everyone on the street when I hear screaming and pounding . " Aaaaahhhhh ! Help me ! Please " a female voice screeched . " Harvey do you hear that ? " I ask Harvey dent . He stops for a moment and says " yes , yes I do " he says . We go up to where the screaming is coming from and it was the truck that just flipped over ! " Don't worry we're gonna get you out " I say . " Please hurry my leg is burning off !!! " . We end up getting her out and it's Zara Smith . We help her walk since one of her legs were now off . " So Zara smith we meet again " I say . * She smirks * . " Yea and your back from the dead , oh and I recently just found out but it's Zara Wyane " she said . " Bruce Wyane's daughter ?! " I ask her . " Mhm " she says .
Time leap and Zara's POV
I'm sitting in the hospital getting a metal leg get put on my body while Jonathan is sitting in a chair next to my hospital bed . " What did he do to you ? He asked referring to the joker . " Nothing " I say . " Ok " he said unsurely " I heard Harvey Dent is in the room next to yours " . " For what " I ask . " he got half of his body burned by the joker " Jonathan said . " We should go see him I say kind of sitting up . * Jonathan gives the nurse a questioning look * . " She should be able to go next door " the nurse said . " Ok " Jonathan said . * we go to the room next door and Harvey is laying in his bed holding a coin and half his face was covered up * . " How are you feeling ? " I asked him . * He jerked his head up surprised to see me * . " Sore " he replied . " I feel ya " I say . " Yea " he said looking down at my leg . " I'm surprised Miss. Dawes isn't here " I said . " she's dead " Harvey said looking like he was about to burst into tears . * I gasped * " how ?! " . " She was burned to death , by the joker . * I was shocked so I said nothing else , but right after he said the he ripped the bandages off his face ! * . there was no skin on the other side of his face and you could see his whole eyeball and the inside of his mouth , but I got over it and sat down in a chair and Jonathan did the same . * I drifted to to sleep a little bit but was awoken by a gunshot *. * I gasp * it's the joker ." Shut up or I'll kill you " the joker whisper yelled rising Harvey's hospital bed . * Harvey woke up all freaked out * . " hi " the joker sighed and tool off the wig " look I don't what any hard feelings between us , when you and - RACHEL !!! " Harvey interrupted him . " when you and Rachel were being abducted I was sitting in Gordon's cage , now I didn't read those charges " the joker said . " your men , your plan " Harvey said . " Do I look like a guy with a plan ? " The joker asked . " I'm like a dog chasing a car , if a ever caught on I wouldn't know what to do with it . I just do things , the mob has plans , the cops have plans , Gordon has plans , their schemers . Schemers trying to control their little worlds , I am not a schemer , I try to show the schemers how pathetic them trying to plans to control are . So you know when you and your girlfriend were not personal , you know I'm telling the truth . " The joker said while putting something on Harvey . " Now you two go outside and wait for me " the joker said while Jonathan helps me up .
Tiny Time Leap
The joker came walking out of the building while it was blowing like nothing was happening and my jaw dropped he was killing Harvey ! " Don't worry Harvey's not dead " the joker said while pushing my chin up , making me close my mouth .
Time leap
Me and Jonathan were walking the streets of Gotham when we see Harvey in bar shoot someone . " What is he doing ?! " I ask Jonathan . " I don't know " Jonathan said . * I go to run to the door but thanks to my new leg I fall * . " Ow " I say . " Are you ok " Jonathan asks while helping me up . " Yea " I say and walk into the Bar . " Nice fall out there " Harvey says . " Yea it's pretty hard to get used to a metal leg " I say . " Yea " he said . " what were you doing ?! You just killed a guy ! " I say . " it's time for a change , Joker was right I was a schemer and this happened to me " he said while motioning to his burnt side . " I don't think this is right but I'm not in charge of you " I say and leave .
Time leap ( sorry there's a lot of em )
Jonathan fell asleep on the couch reading a book . I leave and sneak on top of a building Gordon is on and batman had just left . I hide in the showdowns do they can't see me and I say " Dent isn't dead " . " Huh ?! " Gordon said and the soldiers point their guns in the direction of my voice . " No no no , if hitting a girl is illegal I'm pretty sure shooting a girl has the same rules " I say . " We are not afraid of you " Gordon said while getting closer to me but he still can't see me . " Oh you should always fear a gal who can run in heels .......... and a metal leg ! " I say while steeping out of the shadows and grabbing Gordon by his tie . " Zara ! " Gordon said .
Gordon's POV
Yep , but Dent is not dead , he is perfectly ok physically , but mentally , well I don't know , he's safe but the people around him are not " Zara said . " What do you mean ? " I ask but she's already gone . I've figured out Bruce Wyane is batman but I'm not going to tell any body . But man she is so much like her father ! " Do you want me to go after her ? " One of the new soldiers asked . " Yes " I told him

" Ok I got her ! " The new soldier said . * Zara was laughing crazily much like the jokers laugh and I held her writs and tried to keep her still because she was laughing so much she was shaking * . " What's wrong with you ?! " I ask her . " I don't know " she laughed . " What's wrong with Harvey ?! " I ask . t-the haha Jok-ker ha mu- must of hahaha t-taked haha som- some hahahaha c-chaos ha cra-crap in-into haha h-him hahahahaha la-last t-time ha I saw hi-him haha h-he hahaha sh-shot a-a hahaha b-bartender HAHAHAHAHA !!!!! * every part of her body went limp and she collapsed still laughing * . " My god , we need to call crane so he knows where she is " I said .
Cranes POV
* I woke up to the sound if the phone ringing so I pick it up * .
" Hello ? "
" Hi , it's Gordon , Zara is in some sort of laughing trance and we have her in the hospital "
" 2 times she's been in the hospital today "
"Yea , and did you see Harvey "
" I saw him earlier today , he had shot a bartender "
" So I've heard , bye "

* I hang up the phone and put on my mask and head to the hospital * .
Time leap and Zara's POV
I woke up and I was in the hospital again . " You go to the hospital way to much sweetheart " Jonathan said . yea I know " I said .

Me and Jonathan were in a building where my dad had just caught the joker . * My dad turned around to see me and Jonathan in a corner of the room * . " What did the joker do to Harvey " dad asked . " Oh c'mon have some fun figure it out yourself , even though what he did to Harvey just isn't right " I say .

I was able to track Harvey after dad left and me and Jonathan went into the building and found a place to hide and later on Gordon came and was calling for Harvey . "This is Zara , be careful he's gone mad " I whisper still in my hiding place . " Ok " he whispers back . * he finds Harvey , but Harvey pushed him to the ground * . " This us where they took her , after your men handed her over , this is where she died . " Harvey said . " I was here , I tried to save her " Gordon said . " But you didn't " Harvey said . " I couldn't " Gordon said in voice that was almost a whisper . * my phone vibrated and I answer the call * .

" It's Bruce , I need to tell you who your mom is "

" No ! " I cry a bit louder than planed . " Huh ?! " Harvey said . * I walk out of my hiding place * . " You ! You are becoming this because she died ! She was my mom and I didn't even know it till now ! " I scream . " wait I'm your stepdad ?! " Apparently so ! " I say . * Harvey looks at Gordon and points a gun at him * " have you ever had to talk to the person you love and tell them it's going to be ok even though you know it's not " Harvey said . " Well your about to feel that , then you can look me in the eye and say sorry " Harvey said . " You're not going to hurt my family " Gordon said . " No , just the person you love most " Harvey said . * Harvey walks up to Gordon's wife and holds a gun to her head and she's clutching her kids and shaking * . " So your wife " Harvey said . * both Gordon and Gordon's wife were both begging for mercy * . " Harvey stop ! Your just doing what the joker wanted you to do all along , he wanted to show people even the greatest most kindest people can turn bad after just one bad day ! " I say . " Since when are you the hero " Harvey said . " I'm not ! And you know whys the joker was right , chaos is fair ! But this isn't chaos this is pure anger and revenge ! " I yell . * he takes their son and I try to save him but Harvey shoots me in the arm and puddle of blood starts forming around me and I'm screaming * . "ZARA !!! " Jonathan yelled and ran from his hiding place . You don't want to hurt the boy Harvey " dad appeared . " It's not about what I want it's about what's fair " Harvey yelled . " You thought we could be decent men in a decent time , but you were wrong ! Harvey yelled . I fainted from all the blood loss .

I woke up to see my dad laying in the ground next to Harvey . * I gasp and get up and fallow Gordon down the stairs but my dad was fine * . I'm so glad your ok dad " I say and then hug him . "I knew you were Bruce Wyane , but thank you " Gordon said . " You don't need to thank me " dad said . "yes I do "Gordon said . * they said a few more things but the cops showed up and dad had to run * . " Batman ! Batman ! Dad why is he running ? " Gordon's son asked . " because we have to chase him " Gordon says . " He didn't do anything wrong " Gordon's son says . " because he's the hero Gotham deserves , but not the one we need right now , I we'll have to because he can take it , because he's not the hero , he's a guardian , a watchful protector , the dark knight
