alcohol was stimulate of many mistakes, including going to a party with jeremiah when you knew nobody, but jere knew everybody.

kalani didn't care about her self being or who would be sober enough to drive her home, as she continued doing shots of fireball, the strong cinnamon taste leaving a burn in her throat.

jeremiah always stayed sober when kalani drank, so he could be her ride home.

lani spent the night dances, laughing, drinking, bickering, and getting wasted.

conrad and some girl giggled off, running out of the house holding hands. lani knew that jere wouldn't be aloud back into his house anytime soon.

the party died downed and people started to leave.

lani stood by the front door looking for jere or someone she knew to take her home.

"hey, let's head back to your place" jere said as he walked up to me. he seemed pretty sober.

"i don't really want to go back, the beach is a block down. let's go there." i suggested to him.

she slipped of her heels, holding them in her hand. she also hand her purse and phone in her hand.

endless giggles were shared between lani and jere. jeremiah grabbed her waist as he picked her up, her head tossing back in the wind.

she turned her head quickly and the music loudened around the two. she looked at the brunette with a gapped mouth.

they both smiled as "memories" by conan gray came on.

kalani grabbed his hands as he put her down gently, turning herself into his chest as they danced.

so there's so good reason in make-believing that we could ever exist again
i cant be your friend, can't be your lover, can't be the reason we hold back each other from falling in love, with somebody other than me

they both sang to the music. lani tapping her feet in the sand and jere rocking his head back and forth.

jere glanced down at her, staring at the brunette in a complete trance, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as they swayed.

the two sang in sync, spinning around in a circle, inching closer to the salty water in happiness.

jere lifted her off her feet once more, the tops of her toes getting splashed with the cold water causing a small squeal to leave her mouth.

she held his fingers as he twirled her around. loud laughing echoing around them.

as she placed her palms on his hawaiian tshirt, he dipped her down, her head tilting backwards, then back to gaze at his ocean blue eyes.

their eyes stayed locked as the music slowly finished, his right hand gripped the inside of her thigh while the other hand rested on her lower back.

she gulped as he leaned down, eyes staying locked on each other as their faces were inches apart, chests rising up and down as their hearts nearly bursted out of their places.

their foreheads resting on each other's, lani's hand coming up to his jaw, cupping it softly as she smiled.

suddenly, he filled the space between them as he kissed her, the cinnamon flavors resting on each other's tongues as they kissed passionately.

jeremiah's cheeks flushed bright red, thankfully, it was dark out so she wouldn't be able to see it, he bit his bottom lip out of glee.

she stood back up straight, her white teeth glistening as the moon light beat down on them, her grabbing his hand as she dragged him to the beginning of the beach.

the adults collapse of the sand, lani laying next to her purse and shoes while she rested her head on his chest, his scent making her feel safe.

and with that, exhaustion hit them.
