Steven Conklin was in love with Y/n Fisher. Shayla? They only lasted the summer. Both broke up because they realized they were on different paths.
Anyways, Steven always felt insecure when he saw Y/n with other boys like Liam. Why? Because Liam was a gentleman, he was rich and has his way of getting or owning certain things.
Surely Y/n felt the same way. She absolutely admired him. His hair, facial features, his personality. Everything about him is perfect.
Y/n POV:
Everywhere i was, he was. Who? Steven Conklin. The love of my life, he just doesn't know it. I just finished showering, i wrapped the towel around my body as i made my way out the bathroom door. There he was, Steven, standing outside my bedroom door.
"Hi?" i say confused
"oh uh" he says looking at me, maybe because im wrapped in a fricken towel
"yea, uh did you need something?" i ask
"yea just meet me outside in the back" he says walking away before i get the chance to reply
"ok then" i say as i make my way to my room getting ready
i wore my 'team belly' shirt and black shorts and french braid my hair
I quickly apply light make up and my cherry blossom perfume.
I go downstairs and walk to the back to find him sitting on the edge of the pool
i sit beside him dipping my legs in the pool
"so whats up?" i ask
"im gonna be straight up, do you have an escort to the dance?" he asks
"no" i say truthfully
"can i be your..escort?" he asks slowly
"um wow" i say partly shocked
"i-i'll think about it" i say
"ok, just let me know as soon as possible" he says

Y/n POV:
Well, Me and Belly won!!! so thats good
i make my way with Belly to receive the trophy.
I was standing with Steven and his Mom and my Mom(Susannah) as they congratulated me
"so? did you ask her?" Laurel says to Steven
"ask me what?" i ask confused
"for Steven to be your Escort" Laurel says
"oh uh, i said i'll think about it" i say with a fake smile hurt
i actually thought he wants to be my escort, all because Laurel asked him only.
i walk away and make my way to Belly before Steven blocked my way.
"what" i ask
"listen, i didn't only ask because my mom asked me, i asked because i actually wanted to go with you" he says
"yea right" i say scoffing
"lies"i say
"im crazy about you, please give me a chance. im going insane knowing your not mine. please give me a chance. i-i know im not like Liam but please, i will try my best, just please" he says
i look at his facial features to find any signs of him lying
"fine, just one chance and thats all, and i don't want a boy like Liam. I want a boy like you." i say smiling crazy
he smiles back widely
"thank you, i promise i wont blow it" he says bringing me into a hug as he kisses my forehead
"and for the record, im crazy about you too" i say provably blushing like an idiot.
i pull his face and kiss his cheek before running away to Belly.
im going insane for my best friend.
