The rest of the week passed by quickly, mundane days blending together until the night of the party arrived. You hadn't seen Childe much this week, as you were too busy with classes and your part time job so needless to say, you didn't have much time this week. But tonight, you had requested a day off from your boss. As tonight, was the party.

"Are you sure that's a good idea, though....?"

Lumine's words echo in your head. What if it really wasn't a good idea? What if Diluc isn't even there? What if he simply... doesn't care? And what if... what if something goes wrong...?

You shook those thoughts away. You had already agreed to do this, could you even back out now? Probably not. You took the dress out of the bag to iron it, but as you did you saw smaller bag that Lumine had gifted to you and told you to open once you got home. To be honest, that gift completely slipped your mind. You muttered an apology under your breath, going to open up that bag. Inside was a little box and once you opened it, you stared at it in awe. It was a silver bracelet and necklace duo, which would look perfect with your dress. You made a mental note to buy Lumine lunch some day as thanks.

You quickly got dressed, did your hair and did your makeup as good as you could do it. The accessories that Lumine had gifted really completed the outfit. Looking at the reflection staring back at you, you couldn't help the wave of nostalgia.

Just as the clock struck eight, you heard a knock on your front door. He was here. You grabbed your matching black purse and double checked that you had put everything.

You couldn't help the anxiety rising in your chest. You hadn't been in a party since a long, long time. Back in your senior year of high school, you went to a lot. Your Friday nights were filled with loud music and crowds of people. You had become well acquainted with the scent of alcohol and cigarettes. But once you got into uni, you decided to settle down and focus on your studies. So needless to say, you were a bit nervous. At least... you wouldn't be alone. That thought comforted you, even if just a bit.

Your shaky hand gripped your door knob, pulling your door open to reveal Childe. Your breath hitched in your throat for a second. His outfit suited him perfectly, making him look even more attractive than he normally does. He wore a long-sleeved, black, button-up shirt. His sleeves were rolled up and his top buttons were unbuttoned, his chest peaking from under the fabric.

"Looking good, comrade! So, you ready?" He asked, a smirk spreading across his features as he took in your outfit. You nodded, nervously following him out to his car in the apartment complex parking.

"W-wait, that's your car?!" You stammered in surprise as you saw Childe unlock a fancy sleek black car. It looked expensive as hell, like one of those cars they put on display in shopping malls. You'd been hanging out with him a lot, but you always went everywhere by foot or public transport. You never knew that that expensive ass car in the apartment complex's garage was his.

Childe chuckled as he opened the door for you. You gaped at him, before shaking yourself out of it and sitting in the front passenger seat. You felt so weird sitting in such an expensive and pretty car, as if you'd screw something up just by being there.
