History Project

Chapter 2

"Ok you've got the rest of the class to discuss what you will do your project on, it can be anything that has a history, it can be music history, it can be Roman history, it can be about the history of art"

They listened to him drone on and on before finally getting to talk to their partners "history about anything huh, we can do the history of music, we both like music" Frank suggested.

Gerard shrugged "uh I dunno, I-I don't really wanna take an idea from Mr Bruce, it could be quite h-hard"

Frank hummed "ok we'll do you have any ideas" he asked making Gerard shrug "I dunno, I-I'm not very good with stuff like this"

Frank hummed and turned to Gerard quickly "wait you're gay right" he said quickly, Gerard gulped "I-I uh I...e-excuse me" he asked confused "well I just thought we could do a project in the history of gay people and their rights"

Gerard hummed "th-that, actually sounds like a great idea Frank"

The smaller boy grinned happily and they started writing down that they'd need to research.

"We should study at my place tonight, I made these awesome 'special' brownies if you know what I mean and I wanna eat one after school" Frank said casually making me chuckle "ok sure"

"Ok listen up guys, I wanna take the last 10 minutes for you to tell both me and the class what you'll be doing your projects on, Frank and Gerard why don't you guys start"

I gulped and looked at Frank hoping he wouldn't make me talk, he smiled at me before turning to Mr Bruce "our project is gonna be about the history of gay people and their rights"

Mr Bruce nods his brand wrote that down "well I shall be very interested to see what you plan on doing with that"

There were people sniggering around the class a little "I bet Gerard chose that, cause he's a fag" Jamie said making Petra laugh softly, they were sat right in front of their table, Frank tapped him on the shoulder causing them to turn "just for the record I picked that because I'm a fucking fag too"

Jamie and Petra soon kept quiet and didn't say another word about it, Gerard turns to Frank slightly "I didn't know you were gay" he said with a slight blush, Frank blushed too "there's a lot of things you don't know about me Gerard, you'll figure them out though"

Gerard walked behind Frank out of breath while the other boy skated "Frank, w-wait, you're going too fast"

Frank chuckled and stopped before picking up his board "fine, I'll walk with you, you better learn to skateboard so we can get there faster" he said with a teasing tone, Gerard giggled softly "no thank you, the last time I skated I fell in my ass and now I'm too scared to step foot on a board again"

Frank looked at the taller boy and nudged him slightly "I can teach you" he said softly, Gerard hummed "m-maybe another time"

Soon they were back in Franks apartment and Frank quickly made a move to the kitchen, Gerard nervously followed him to the kitchen where Frank was grabbing a brownie "do you want one" he asked before taking a bite, Gerard declined and said maybe another time before Frank made his way to his bedroom, Gerard followed and shit the door behind him.

He looked around Franks rather small room and looked at all the band posters around the room "I like black flag" Gerard mumbled softly "do you now"

Gerard jumped "oh uh, I didn't mean to say that out loud" he said with a chuckle, Frank smirked "that doesn't matter right now, how about we get started on this project huh, we can use my laptop to make a slide show" he said before paying on his stomach and opening that laptop, Gerard stood awkwardly next to the bed, it was only a single bed so he didn't know if he should sit or stand.

Frank chuckled noticing his awkwardness before shuffling closer to the wall letting Gerard sit on the edge of the bed.

"I can do some drawings, maybe a crowd of people, it could be of the first pride parade, like my representation of it" Gerard said softly, Frank turned to him and smiled "that would be cool, I didn't know you can draw"

Gerard bites his lip "there's a lot you don't know about me" he said, quoting Frank from earlier.

Frank smirked up at him "yeah, I guess there is"
