Floor 22 — Haru's House
"How come you never told us you bought a house?! We didn't have to keep sleeping in INNs you know!" Hero irritation was evident as they stepped into the empty humble abode.
"You guy's never asked—" Haru began, only to be cut off.
"You should've just told us," the blonde haired boy huffed, stomping the floor like a child.
"Cut it out will you," Musashi scolded the eye-patched player as she carried the little girl into a bedroom, setting her upon a bed and tucking her in.
"Ohhhhh," everyone seemed mesmerized by Musashi's actions.
She raised an eyebrow, "W-What?"
"That was very older sister-ish of you," Kirito smirked.
"My respect for you has gone up a bit..." Volt said with a passive voice. Like 0.0001%.
"Hah, funny," Musashi retorted.
"So what do we do now?" Asuna inquired of the group
"We wait," the ponytailed older sister-like individual declared.
"In this empty house?" Hero continued to survey the house, which boasted almost zero furniture.
Indeed, it was barren. One couch, a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom, a kitchen, a large living room space, and a pathetic-looking rug in the middle of the room.
The exterior resembled a cottage home, constructed with logs. There was a small porch in the front and a fair-sized backyard.
"I kinda only bought this place because it reminded me of home...but I've never used it, because we're always climbing the floors," the young homeowner explained.
"Let's do some remodeling," for the first time ever, it seemed like Hero and Asuna were on the same page.
They exchanged glances, nodded, and without another word, they both departed for who knows where.
Musashi, Volt, Kirito, and Haru stayed behind to watch the little girl. While Hero and Asuna were out, Haru decided to do some cooking, and with a lake just walking distance he thought seafood would be a good meal.
With a meal in mind, Haru pulled Volt and Kirito aside, ignoring their complaints, and left Musashi to watch over the young girl.
"Hm..." Musashi exhaled and looked over at the girl. She looks really young...Her eyes focused above the girl's head. There's no cursor either, it's hard to tell if she's an NPC or player. Nevertheless, we'll have to wait for her to wake up and see what we can do next.
Her hand touched the girl's forehead, and she gently rubbed it. "Hana..."
Evening
"We're back!" Haru swung open the door to his home abruptly, but it seemed like all the lights were off.
Both groups arrived at the same time and so they entered empty handed.
"Musashi?" Haru opened the bedroom door, only to find the eldest of the group asleep, her head resting on the edge of the bed.
She's asleep.
Asuna appeared behind him, resting her chin atop Haru's head. "We shouldn't wake her up, let's just—Look!" She pointed as she whispered.
The little girl's eyes were open and blinking at the two players near the door.
"She's awake! What do we do?!" Haru whispered in a panic.
"It's okay, let's just—" but before Asuna could finish, the little girl got out of bed and began walking toward them, causing them to scatter backward.
"What's wrong with you two?" Hero asked.
As he said that, the door in front of them opened, and the little girl came into their view.
It was dead quiet for about 30 seconds until words came out of her mouth, "Onii-chan," she pointed at Haru, "Onee-chan," she pointed at Asuna, then she did the same thing to Kirito, Hero, and Volt.
They all didn't know what to say and remained motionless.
Cute...they all thought in unison.
Another Hour Later
Waking up from her undisturbed nap, Musashi blinked a few times then realized the little girl was no longer in bed.
"Where did she—" she began to panic.
She quickly got up on her feet then swung open the bedroom door.
Her eyes darted everywhere to look for the little girl, then she turned to the rowdy group infront of her.
"Have you guys seen—" Musashi was too dumbfounded to continue.
Everyone was sitting at a dinner table, something that wasn't there before, in fact there happened to be a lot of things present in the house that weren't there before.
More furniture, vases of flowers, lamps with intricate designs, and objects that just made sense in a home.
"Seconds!" The young girl with black hair happily extended her arm.
"Ohhhhh!!! She likes it!" Haru hopped up and down with joy, then he made eye contact with Musashi, "Good morning! You sure slept for a bit!"
"Uh...yeah..."
The young girl got out of her chair, cutely ran up to Musashi, then hugged her and looked up.
"Onee-chan! My name is Yui!"
"Huh?"
