I silently slumped out of Transfiguration class, dragging my feet as slow as I could for whatever reason. I guess it was since I was so tired from staying awake all night, making sure I wasn't murdered in my sleep. Breathing quietly in and out of my nose, making sure I was...as aware of my surroundings as I could be, I tried to walk faster, as to not burden the people behind me. Malfoy hadn't talked to me since I left the hospital wing, and that was over two weeks ago. I guess it was kind of good though, since I hadn't been beaten up in two weeks. People look at me weirdly in the halls though. It's like some sort of tail is growing out of my backside. I try to ignore the whole crowd of paparazzi behind me...maybe it's because I'm wrapped almost head to toe in bandages. I wasn't looking where I was going, or maybe someone stuck their foot out, but all I know is that I landed on my face with my books everywhere. Thank GOD that was my last class...but that meant I had to go back and face my fears.
*Narrator POV*
Octavia marched as quickly as possible back to her dorm, to avoid embarrassing herself even more than before. She sat on her bed, thinking about how to deal with what happened, how to deal with the bullies. Her mind ran through numerous options, some too graphic, some too mundane, but finally, her mind corroborated to an appropriate idea that wouldn't get her expelled. The girls who bullied her unfortunately hadn't been expelled, like Malfoy had said...but Octavia would change that. She had a plan to frame the girls, frame the girls...for murder? No, too mainstream, and she wasn't that evil...something less...deadly? Sure, why not? Octavia grabbed her wand, put on some gloves, placed the wand in place of where Pansy's wand was, and snuck out into the halls. She walked to the library, where it would be least likely for someone to find her. She had gotten really good at silent spells. She stood quietly behind a bookshelf, found an unsuspecting fifth year, and did it. She imperiused them, made them walk over to Madam Pince, and made them spit in her face. Madam Pince grabbed the student by the wrist and dragged them out of the library. Octavia quickly and quietly left the library, wand in hand, gloves invisible in the length of the robes, back to the dorms to switch Pansy's wand out for hers and switch her wand out for Amelia's.
She made her way quietly to an abandoned corridor with few students, found one alone, their back turned to her, and silently immobulused them. She repeated the process with Pansy's wand, made sure Hermione understood their alibi, made sure she'd vouch for Octavia if they were questioned, and she happily went to bed.
*Octavia's POV*
I woke up to the sun shining through my window, feeling the heat on my face. Ah, Saturday, the best day, in my opinion. I quickly got dressed in a pair of black ripped jeans and a white cropped tank top, leaving the common room to head to the hospital wing, so I could get my bandages removed. Sure enough, when I passed Dumbledore's office, I heard him yelling at the two girls who I framed. I knocked quietly on the doorframe of the medical wing and Madam Pomfrey gestured for me to come in. "Come in, dear, it'll just be a second." I walked in and saw Malfoy laying on a bed with a bunch of swooning girls crowding around him. Based on his face and arms' condition, I guessed he fell down the stairs...also because I heard him say he did. I stifled a laugh as I walked by the foot of his bed, all of the girls turning to look at me in disgust. That was the last straw.
"WHAT??" I screamed as I stopped at the foot of his bed. "I'M SO TIRED OF PEOPLE STARING! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" I saw all of the girls' faces fall, not expecting me to do anything. I was tired of being a punching bag to no-good, rich, stuck-up, trust fund babies who went crying to their parents when the teacher talked too loud. Madam Pomfrey walked over to where I was standing. She grabbed my wrist and led me away gently. "Come along, dear. That's enough. Let's get you unpackaged, I bet a shower would feel nice, you've probably been sweating so bad." She smiled innocently at me. I laughed quietly in response, trying to mask how I truly felt.
I made my way back to the dormitories to grab some new clothes for my shower. I grabbed a few things, not really caring what it looked like. As I made my way out of the dorms and through the halls, I heard someone walking behind me. I honestly didn't know who it was, nor did I care. I was tired of caring, I was 2 months into the school year, my best friend was now friends with my ex best friend, and they were both expelled. Malfoy had been acting like he was in love with me at the beginning of the year, and now because of them, I couldn't show my face without getting spat at. The person behind me cleared their throat, and I turned around to see Malfoy, leaning against the wall, facing me with his arms crossed. I sighed and rolled my eyes, "What do you want, Malfoy?" I asked as I turned back around and started to walk away. He followed behind me as he answered. "I know what you did." He says coldly, stopping as soon as I stopped, dead in my tracks. "Yeah? What of it? I got my revenge." I said, still not facing him. He chuckled darkly to my answer. "You should've asked for my help. I wanted more than anything to see those bitches suffer, after what she did to me." He ended his statement coldly, but I could see as I turned around that his face did not reciprocate his tone. "I just couldn't figure out how to do it...there was always something in the way." He said in slight adoration, slight annoyance that I beat him to it...something in the way? Not anymore.
(Sorry I didn't post any sooner! I'd just lost inspiration and was always tired, but I'm good now! Stay safe, stay hydrated! xx)
