The first day of training :

"Attention on deck !"

All lieutenants stand up as Rear admiral 'warlock' and Vice admiral 'cyclone' enter the area. Cyclone joins Hondo's side as, warlock walks up to the stand in front of all the lieutenants.

"Morning. Welcome to your special training attachment. Be seated. I'm admiral Bates, callsign warlock. I am not a commander. You are all top gun graduates. The elite, the best of the best." Warlock says to all of the lieutenants. Meanwhile hangman puts a toothpick in his mouth, as the admiral is inflating his ego.

"That was yesterday. The enemies new 5th generation fighter is the new level of the playing field. Details are few, but you can be sure that we no longer possess the technological advantage. Success, now more than ever, comes down to the man or woman in the box." Warlock says, while his eyes are scanning every face.

Hangman looks back to Phoenix who is seated next to Bob, her new fighter officer, and Capone who was sat behind rooster. Phoenix secretly puts her middle finger up, and leans on her hand on her face. To make it seem as though she's just resting her head. While Capone is too focused on what warlock is say thing, and doesn't even notice.

"Half of you will make the cut. One of you will be named mission leader. The other half will remain as reserve." Warlock informs them.

Hangman is now looking on his other side to look at rooster and Capone; who couldn't give two fucks and still ignores hangman.

"Your instructor is a Top Gun graduate with real life experience in every mission aspect you will be expected to master. His exploits are legendary." Warlock says.

Footsteps echo from behind the lieutenants, which causes people to start turning around to see their new instructor. However, Capone didn't turn around because she was told by iceman to always look forward and never look back, which she applied to every situation.

"And he's considered to be one of the finest pilots this program has ever produced." Warlock continues the introduction.

Hangman, payback, fanboy and Coyote turn around to see the person they threw out of the bar last night and hangman called an old man. They all look back round to the front in embarrassment.
