As Kiara kept talking about Calli, Ame was stuck in the thought of Kiara's heart racing when she saw death.

"You're in love with death, Kiara..." Ame interrupted.

Kiara paused, and could only force a chuckle.

"In love with death?" Kiara repeated.

"I'm not assuming or anything, but you said your heart got excited as soon as you saw Death. Don't you think it's love at first sight?" said Ame.

"I don't know.." said Kiara.

"I mean, you've been rejecting all of the guys, and almost everything you talk about is death—  like uh— you once told me "who needs a man when you're going to die anyway" and "what does dying feel like?" I can't believe I still remember those," said Ame.

"Yes, I do talk about death most of the time but, Death as your lover? I don't think so—"

"Just see it. Try spending more time with that Calliope whoever, and tell me about how you feel everytime you're around her"

Kiara went silent.

"Are you thinking I'm crazy?" she asked.

"What? Hell no. Well, maybe a little, but still. You don't want to be a burden, right?" said Ame.

Kiara shook her head and sighed.

"Fine," said Kiara.

"She knows a lot about you, huh~ How long have you been friends?" Ina asked, finally done with the pancakes.

"For like, since we were born? I don't remember anymore," replied Ame.

Kiara agreed with Ame. Ina put a plate in front of Kiara but Kiara stopped her.

"Ah, you don't have to serve me, Ina— I've already ate breakfast. And I'll be going now since we had a talk. Thank you," said Kiara.

Ina looked at Ame and she nodded.

"Sure~ No problem," said Ina.

Kiara then stood up and smiled at the lovers. She waved goodbye and left the house.

"How do you know she's in love with death?" asked Ina, serving pancakes to Ame.

"I can see it in her face. By just talking about Death, her face turned red and the sparkles in her eyes. She never had that face before when she talks about death. That's how I think she's in love," said Ame.

"Is that so?" said Ina, her smile slowly fading.

Ame chuckled and made her way closer to Ina to give her a kiss on the cheek.

"Let's not worry about her, alright? We just moved here and you're already getting worried. We don't want little Watson to be grumpy when she's out, do we?"

Ina chuckled.

"We'll get you checked up before lunch," Ame added.

"Alright, alright~" said Ina.

Kiara arrived back home. The house was again empty. On the kitchen table, Kiara saw a note.

"I have an emergency to attend to, I did some of your chores, too. You can work on the rest. -Mama"

The note said.

Kiara took a deep breath and pulled up her sleeves.

"You can do this, Kiara! You just have to carry water buckets!" said Kiara to herself.

She then sat down and laid her head on the table.

"No, I can't do it... I hate water chores!" Kiara cried out.

Kiara sat there for a few minutes. Listening to the silence of the house. Her cats sleeping by the window and the wind whistling into the house. A few more minutes and Kiara still hasn't got up. It's like she's fallen asleep on the table, then, getting surprised by a sudden familiar voice by the door.

Kiara woke her soul up and stood up, thinking Mamatori is back. She took the buckets and ran to the door, only to halt when she saw a tall woman who glared back at her. Her red eyes made Kiara's heart, beat fast. It was again, Death. Calli is inside the Takanashi residence.

Calli admired the clean looks of the surrounding of the house. It's aura is so welcoming that she felt her chest lighten up a bit. Her thoughts of her hard work as a reaper popped like a bubble. The stress was gone and was suddenly replaced by happiness. Her cold face turned into a warm soft smile, Kiara will never forget.

Kiara just stood there, hugging the empty buckets as she stared at Calli's smile. Listening to her own heartbeat run fast. Maybe Amelia was right. Maybe she is in love with death. It is the only thing Kiara seeks for.

Death.

Kiara isn't sure of herself anymore. Her love for death just because literal. Calli called for her name and her heart skipped a beat.

'Maybe I am... in love with her' thought Kiara.
