Kiara lifted herself, gathered the dirty plates together. Cleaned the table, but she still couldn't help but tear up as she wipes the table. She clenched the cloth and ran away. She ran pass the living area where her friends were but couldn't catch her. Amelia followed Kiara and saw Kiara climb up in the air and disappear. She gasped. Kiara isn't crazy.

As she remembered what Kiara told her, it was death that took her for a ride. Amelia's shoulder was patted by her girlfriend.

"Death, huh..." said Ame.

"None of us are crazy," said Ina.

"Hmn... But it was still creepy of you talking alone in the room that night—"

"I told you someone was there..! She's with her now, though,"

"Well, at least she's not in our room looking after you,"

"Ah~ Is someone jealous over death? ~"

"I'm not! Why would I?!"

Ina hugged Ame from behind and breathed on her ear, making Ame's cheeks to heat up. Her ears turned red which Ina smiled at.

"Sure~" said Ina.

"Honestly... you're worse than Gura," said Ame.

Turned her head to Ina and put a fingers on her lips. Gently lifting the top lip and caress Ina's small fangs.

"Actually, a little gentle..." said Ame.

Ina put down Ame's hand and smiled.

"Let's just wait for Kiara tomorrow," said Ina.

Ame nodded and left the house to Freddie.

After a moment of silence in the carriage, Kiara finally lifted herself, now wearing her red dress. She removed the mask and placed it on her lap. She sniffed and forced a chuckle.

" Sorry, I came in crying..." said Kiara.

"It's fine, I've had one before," said Calli.

Kiara hummed low, and looked outside the window.

"... Do you want to talk about it?" asked Calli.

Kiara glanced at Calli who had a warm smile on her face, like she could trust her.

"I don't know anymore..." said Kiara.

"...Hey, Calli..."

"Yeah?"

"Do people in the paradise watch us on land?"

"...Some does, some don't. That's they're own choice, why do you ask?"

Kiara laid her head on the carriage's wall, thinking about her father.

"Do you think my father is watching?" she asked.

Calli's eyes widen, then released a soft sigh.

"I can't visit the paradise, nor can I visit hell... but, I'm sure he is. He loves you, right?"

Kiara nodded and smiled.

"Then, I have to continue. Help me find the love of my life, Calli," said Kiara.

"But didn't you say that you are in love with death? Why look for a man? Or a woman if you're curious," asked Calli.

"I— don't know. There's part of me that I want to make Mama to be happy by getting myself married but at the same time I'm mad at her... I don't live in her timeline anymore, you know," said Kiara.

"Then how about you don't listen?" said Calli.

"What do you mean?"

"You're listening to your brain too much that you almost don't realized that you can fall for a guy. Listen to your heart this time, Kiara. Maybe... maybe it'll make you happy, find the one for you,"

"... and maybe leave him to be with me..." she whispered.

"Sorry, what was that?" asked Kiara.

"Nothing!...Nothing..." said Calli.

"Hmm... I guess you're right. I don't think I ever listened to my heart... even once, never," said Kiara.

Thoughts coming through her mind.

"Calli, why are you looking after me...?" asked Kiara.

Calli almost spit out her wine but manages not to. Suddenly, her cheeks heated up. At this point, Calli didn't know what to answer. What will Kiara think if she told her the truth? What happens if she lied? After thinking of what to say, Calli took a breath and chose to say the truth.

"To be honest... My sensei told me to look after you. At first I didn't want to as I wasn't done with my previous work. But he forced me anyway, as part of my lessons as his apprentice. At first I watched over you for some time and all I saw in you is that you always do chores and write stuff in your room.

I thought it was boring but after the accident, I had the thought to scare you. I was bored. But I was backfired. You weren't scared of me, as soon as you opened your eyes, all I saw in your emotionless eyes was that it finally had life. It was a weird feeling for me, but after that, I suddenly felt... attached.

Like, I wanted to be with you more, spend time with you because you became a fun person once I talked to you. I knew more about you every day and every night. It makes me... feel human. Have butterflies in my stomach, I could feel like I have a heart beating fast everytime I look at you. Isn't it weird... for death to have feelings for a human?"

Kiara could only blush, her heart raced again and she can't calm it down.

"So... just days like that, you... fell...? For me...?" asked Kiara.

Calli nodded.

"I see... Can I have your hand?" asked Kiara.

Calli raised an eyebrow but gave her hand to Kiara, anyway. Kiara put Calli's hand on her chest. Calli blushed hard by the feeling of Kiara's heart race. It was so fast that Calli felt like she also had a heart in her chest.

" Does that answer your question...?" asked Kiara.

Calli went silent for a second. She put a soft smile on her face and said "yes."
