"Calli..!"
Kiara finally spoke.
Calli broke out from her zone and cleared her throat.
"Oh hey, Kiara," said Calli.
"What are you doing here?" asked Kiara.
Calli hid her scythe, and put her hand on her mouth.
"Well. I'm on break— Actually, a reaper on hiatus. Death-sensei finally allowed me. I had nothing to do at home so I came in here to check on you," said Calli.
Kiara blushed, not aware of what words are going to come out of her lips.
"Oh~ You wanted to check on me, huh~ Do you like me? ~"
Kiara smirked at Calli. The reaper on the other hand, was surprised by the sudden flirt. Her cheeks heated up, and tried to hide it.
"F*ck no, I said I wanted to uh... yes, check on you because like I said: I have nothing to do in the underworld. Y-you seem to be a fun human to be with, so I came in,"
"Really? ~ You think I'm fun? No matter how boring my life is?~"
Kiara's heart is racing, she can feel it. But the way she's talking to Calli right now, makes her not want to stop. She could flirt with her for hours and hours. Calli gets more embarrassed that she's being flirted with that she shook her head and took a deep breath. Then, put her hand on Kiara's neck.
"It's not yet your time, but, I'll take it if you don't stop," said Calli.
Kiara could only hold her breath, feeling the touch of death on her skin. It was ice cold which gave her shivers down to her spine. At that very moment, Kiara realized everything she said. Her embarrassment raised that she could feel like she's steaming. In her deeper realization, she liked the way she flirted with Calli, like she finally found the fun of her silent life. Calli finally let go of Kiara.
"You know what, nevermind. I'll go back to the underworld, have fun with your chores," said Calli.
And before Kiara could even call for Calli, she was gone. Kiara pouted.
"I was just joking..." she pouted.
Then her lips suddenly turned into a smile.
"Or was it?" she thought.
The sudden happiness gave Kiara the urge to finally do her chores. She giggled and ran out of the house to the well. She ran across Ame's house, where she and Ina were just about to go out and saw Kiara running on her boots with a big grin on her face. Ame chuckled.
"Look at her face. That's the face of being in love. Just like yours when we first met~" said Ame.
Ina chuckled and hummed.

Now in the underworld, Calli sat on her chair after she took her wine and glass.
"The f*ck was that about, Mori?" said Calli to herself.
The thought of herself being flustered by Kiara's words are now buried in Calli's mind. Taking her third sip of her wine while staring at the ceiling. Thinking why she was flustered.
"Thinking deep, honey?" a woman asked.
"GAH!" Calli was startled, almost dropping her wine glass.
"Mom! What?! You scared me!" said Calli.
"Can I not visit my daughter? I mean, come on. We haven't seen each other for a while, don't you miss me?" said Mamamori.
Calli sighed, finally calmed down. She put her glass on the table next to her, then pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Mamamori.
Calli looked at her. Mamamori is sat on the couch, looking directly at Calli.
"I don't know. There's... something in me. Like a heart beating fast when I just talked to her," said Calli.
"Her?" Mamamori repeated.
"Oh, right. I haven't talked to you about Kiara,"
"Kiara~ I like her name,"
"Yeah. She just got into an accident, then Death-sensei told me to look after her. He didn't tell me why but I did anyway. When I came to her today, we just stared at each other for few moments. At that moment, I know I was feeling something," said Calli.
Mamamori could only smile at her daughter. She laid her head on her palm.
"Could it be what I think it is?" said Mamamori.
Calli forced a chuckle.
"No, Mom. No. No way," said Calli.
Mamamori could see Calli's face turn red by just talking about Kiara.
"If you say so~ But know that things happen," said Mamamori.
"Why is she even seeking death when she can enjoy her life?" said Calli.
Mamamori stood up.
"Who knows, maybe there's someone she wants to see at the paradise," said Mamamori.
"I'll be staying overnight, prepare a room for me. I'll make us something," she added.
"Oh! I missed your cooking!" said Calli.
Mamamori made her way to the kitchen, leaving Calli alone in the living area. Calli took another sip of her wine then looked outside the window. Watching underworld monsters wander around. Calli removed her coat and left it on the chair she was sitting on, then made her way to the guest room to prepare for Mamamori.
While folding the blanket, Calli couldn't stop thinking of Kiara. It's her second day taking care of a human and a lot has already been in her mind. It's like she already got attached to Kiara.
"Damn it, Mori," Calli curses.
