Brett put down on his coffee on the table and got up to get ready. He was confused why Eddy suddenly wanted to hang out with him, but he pushed it aside and got ready. A few minutes passed by, and Eddy arrived near Brett's house. He took his tote bag and went outside , locking the doors and ran to Eddy's car. Eddy always liked Bretts taste in clothing , even though it was the same thing as always. A white button-up t-shirt , a peach-ish sweater and a pair of jeans.
"So, why did you suddenly ask me out?"
Brett sat in the front seat , the smell of Eddy's cologne was very strong , but he didn't mind it. After all, he liked the smell of The field of Fantasia.
"Out? I never said it was a date, and I told you, I'll tell you when we get there."
Both of them put their seatbelt on and made their way to the Cafe .

'So, what is it?" Brett chewed the pearl as he was talking . "What's this special surprise you wanted to tell me?"
Eddy felt nervous . He remembered a core memory from the past which made him fumble with his words . Brett couldn't understand anything Eddy was saying . He calmed him down , It can't be that bad. Brett thought.
"Come on, spit it out--' "I had a girlfriend! We had been together for over 5 months."

Brett's heart sank. Eddy has someone else? I..I thought..
"That's great for you! I'm really happy for you."
Brett tried not to choke on his words. He was happy for Eddy, but deep inside he hated him. Why did he never tell him this a while ago? Why now? Wasn't Brett his 'best friend'? He felt jealousy and anger burning up in him.
"Oh look at the time, its 3  ! Haha, I have to go now , you know to practice 40 hours a day ?" Brett packed up his laptop into his tote bag and got up. "And I h-have a concert to c-catch up! Hah! What a coincidence , well thanks for the bubble tea, s-see ya later ..Eddy."  He ran out of the Cafe before Eddy could say anything . It started to rain as Brett ran back to his apartment which made it even worst , as the weather was what he felt deep inside. Brett tripped, but he didn't bother to get up. He couldn't hold back his feelings , so he let them out. "Why can't it just be me! Why couldn't he see it." He whimpered. The rain covered up the younger's tears. "Brett! Brett!"

He looked back to see Eddy running to him with an umbrella. He quickly got up to run away but Eddy caught him before he could. Eddy's hand usually felt warm and soft but this time, it felt cold like it was freezing his hands. "Brett, why did you go? What did I do wrong?"
Eddy turned Brett to wipe his tears away , but Brett forcefully pushed it away. "Brett , please talk to me. Don't give me the silent medicine!"
Eddy grabbed both Brett's hands , but again , he forcefully pulled away from him. Eddy changed from being soft to tough.
"For god sake Brett! Just freaking tell me! Your so god damn annoying! Don't you give me the silent treatment, if you don't tell me what it is , how the freak am I suppose to change!? Is it that hard to tell me--"

"I HATE YOU! WHY DID YOU NEVER TELL ME EARLIER?! WHY THE FREAK NOW?!' Eddy was shocked that Brett raised his voice for the first time. He never did , especially to him . Now he was even more confused and angry.
"So what?!You don't control my life, Brett! I get to tell or do anything myself! I didn't want to tell you, because I know you had a crush on me during primary school!"
It was 8 years ago, but Eddy and Brett could never forget that moment.
"Had?! Well you know what, I trusted you, I helped you , And maybe I still LIKE you!" Brett was so mad that he accidentally slipped it out . Eddy couldn't move . It felt like his body freezed in place . Brett tried to run way but Eddy's hand was still connected to his.
"Brett, wait!'--" Brett pulled his hand away.
"Don't ever speak to me again! I hate you !" He ran and left Eddy in the cold, dark rain.
Eddy broke down to tears, to his surprise, he still loved Brett, but he didn't let him finish.
"I HAD a girlfriend . We HAD been together for 5 months." Maybe Brett heard it wrong, but it was too late now . He can go back to the past anymore. He lost his 'best friend' or what he could've called him , his lover.

Brett finished cleaning up himself . He picked up his phone and deleted Eddy's number . Maybe it was better to move on . Maybe he should find new people than hang out with the same person for his whole life . Eddy was now erased from Brett's life forever. Or so he thought.

After cleaning up, Eddy decided to make up to Brett and forgive him. He opened his phone and texted Brett.

Hey Brett, I'm sorry. I should've asked first yk..i hope this makes up.

Eddy was shocked, it felt like his mouth was super glued together.
