Hi my name is Mya! In my world there are such things as soulmates. Some people have them and some do not, and even a few have more than one soulmate. I don't have a soulmate, and I'm fine with that. I've met another person without a soulmate and we are dating.

The old scriptures say that people without soulmates are able to be with anyone that doesn't have an existing soulmate. If someone's soulmate dies or something happens to them we are the replacements. We keep the peace of this world.

My boyfriend lost his soulmate due to a car accident. He still thinks of him. I'm honestly jealous of his soulmate. But here I am standing outside of school, my boyfriend's body laying at my feet...a drunk driver hit him. His body went flying and landed in front of me. I stood there in shock. But I smiled as tears cascaded down my face. At least he is with the one he loves.

A month later, I got a girlfriend, her soulmate died because of suicide. But she is still depressed about it. She locked me out of the house, I can see her standing on the chair with a rope around her neck. I tried to talk to her, but she didn't listen. Then she stepped off.

I had another partner, neither male nor female, they went by Sky. No one knows what happened to Sky's soulmate, they just disappeared one day with no trace. Sky sought comfort and luckily I was there to give it. Soon after a couple months of dating I went back to their apartment to give them their birthday present. When I opened the door the apartment was trashed, a note fell on the floor as I opened the door to the bedroom. It said that they went in search of their soulmate.. I smiled again as tears ran down my cheeks. I asked the police to try and search for Sky. Yet after a while the case ran cold.

I sat in my house looking up at the ceiling. Laughter echoed throughout the room. I went over to one of the walls and looked at all the pictures. Pictures of all my partners, pictures of my partners with their soulmates. I miss them, but they should be happy now that they are with their soulmates.

I looked down at my wrist that was supposed to have the red string tied around it, and decided that I needed fresh air. As I walked outside I grabbed something off of my dresser. People walked around freely with their soulmates, I could clearly see the red string that bound them to someone. They all were so happy, even the ones who hadn't found their special someone.

As I walked, I came up behind a young bunch of soulmates, 4 of them, 3 boys and one girl. I pulled the special scissors out of my pocket and cut the string. I walked past them and heard as the girl stepped into traffic, her soulmates screamed as she got hit. I smiled to myself as tears ran down my face.
