UIWMSB 40: Fake Bride

Drake's Pov

Some time has passed but Braille and Felis are still not there. I called the mansion and they told me they had already left and I spoke to his driver himself. He thought I had another driver pick up the two. Because he said he just peed for a while when he came back the car was gone. It is impossible for someone else to pick up Braille because she has a driver.

I was about to leave when they opened the church door. I can breathe a little easier because she is here. Now, she is slowly walking towards me. I was still smiling as I looked at my future wife approaching. When she got closer, I was a little surprised at the design of the dress because it different. It wasn't too long as she had chosen. But I didn't pay attention to that. Instead, we faced the priest.

"Before everything, I'd like to know if anyone has any objections to this marriage?" father asked.

When no answer was received the ceremony began.

"I pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride," priest announced.

When I lifted her veil, I was very surprised because it was not Braille in front of me but Dixie, she was smiling.

"Finally, our marriage went through!"

"Joshua, please get my son in the car!" I ordered and he did it right away. "You're delirious. You're in jail aren't you?"

"You're in front of me right now, aren't you? Drake, you're just going to kiss me and deny me more? Hurry up and get this wedding over with. And we'll be together forever," Dixie said.

"You're crazy! Where's Braille?" I yelled at her.

"Let's face each other. Don't yell at me!"

"Answer my question!" I held her tightly in my arms.

"What the hell, you're hurting me!"

"I will kill you when I find out something bad has happened to her!"

"Don't ask me because Johannes is with her now!"

What? How did they both get out of jail?

"Braille is just fooling you and you fooled her. She doesn't love you!"

Because of what she said I slapped her. I was not ready for what she did next, to fire a gun. Everyone there screamed. I motioned to Frank and Brent. They immediately got what I meant. Brent left to find Braille and Frank was left to strategize how to steal the gun.

"My life is ruined, Drake, and you're still with Braille. Drake, I loved you not only for your money and wealth, but why can't you love me?"

I stepped back a little and faced her  with my palms as a sign to stop this nonsense.

"Dixie... Calm down. I also loved you as a friend. That's all I can give you. Please, stop it," I begged.

"No!" he pointed the gun at me. "If I can't be with you, nothing should benefit you!"

"Dixie... Please..."

She just shook her head. She was about to reach for the gun when Frank grabbed her and immediately grabbed the gun. Throw it somewhere. Good thing the police came. They immediately took their place.

"No! No!" shouted Dixie.

"Alright, bro. The police are already here. I'll take care of it!" said Frank.

I nodded and said, "thank you!"

"Drake! Don't leave me here! I love you!" Dixie shouted before the police finally grabbed her.

I immediately started the car and called Brent.

"Have you tracked the car?"

"Yes, bro. I'm almost there."

"Good then. Please text me the place where they are!"

"Ok!"

I immediately stopped the call. I called Joshua to find out how Baby Kheil was doing.

"He fell asleep crying. Did the police catch Dixie?" he said.

"Yes. Frank took care of it. I'm driving now to where Braille's car is."

"Alright, bro. Take care. I hope they're safe!"

I immediately turned off the call and focused on the road. I'm nervous because I don't know how Braille is doing now. I hope nothing bad happens.

Just a few moments later, I was at the place where the car was tracked. I immediately went down. I saw Brent and immediately called me and told me to hurry because I might not make it. That's why we ran to where the car was. We saw Felis outside the car and she was unconscious. But I never saw Braille. I only saw the falling car. I thought that Braille was in there so I immediately go there. I peeked through the open door at Braille. I held her hands. It's good that she immediately turned around so she was forced to get out of the car. The car fell exactly and Braille's body was hurt but she was clinging to my hands. There was even a loud explosion when the car fell.

"Drake..."

"Do not let go."

Brent also immediately came over to help me lift Braille successfully when Braille was lifted, I was immediately hugged.

"It's good and you were saved. I don't know what I would do if I lost you!"

I can hear her crying while hugging me.

"Ssshhh... You're safe now."

Braille fell asleep from crying. She is actually baby Kheil's mother. We are going back to the mansion now. When we arrived, I woke up Braille. Felis also woke up. She obviously has no idea what happened. She still thought our marriage was over, but Brent told her that there was trouble.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't even see what you did with Braille!" Felis said still crying.

"Nothing happened that I did!" I said.

"Huh? Why? Well, aren't you married?" she asked in surprise.

"There was a scene. You're so handsome Drake!" said Frank.

"Crazy!"

"So no marriage went through!" Brent said.

I can still see the surprise on Felis' face but we just laugh.

I took Braille to the room to rest. I've also changed into pajamas. Then, I went to baby Kheil who was now being looked after by Manang. He was sleeping soundly. I signaled to Manang that I would take care of it. So she went out.

"Baby Kheil, sorry. I promise, they won't bother us anymore."

I heard a knock so I immediately let him in.

"What's up?"

"Dixie can't get out of jail anymore. Based on the report, there was an accomplice of the police when the two were arrested so they got out of jail. They paid for it," answered Frank.

"Did the police get caught?"

"Yes. It's locked up too."

"How abou Johannes?"

"He was with the car that exploded!"

I breathed a sigh of relief, "it's a good thing there's no troublemaker."

He patted me on the shoulder in agreement.
