The train was headed for Osaka. Ah, Osaka! the land of casual street food, outgoing locals, their unique dialect, and the Cerezo Osaka Football team. Y/n had decided that the first stop on her adventure would be this wonderful city mainly because she had heard it was famous for its food.

"This is my stop," Deidara said as the train slowed down at the Osakan station.

"Mine too," Y/n said.

The two stood up at the same time. Deidara gave her a funny look.

"What?" She asked.

"You better not be following me around," He said sternly.

She tried to hide a mischievous grin. "It's just a coincidence," She shrugged nonchalantly then grabbed her backpack.

"Yeah right," He retorted. "I can sense mischief from a mile away! In fact, mischief is my middle name."

Whenever she heard this phrase, she always imagined what the person's name would sound like if it actually was their middle name. 'Deidara Mischief . . .'

"What's your last name?" Y/n asked.

He scrunched his nose at her. "Why do you care?"

She shrugged again. "Ahduhnno,"

A flood of people poured out the doors and into the busy underground station, Y/n was swept up into the crowd, and in a rush of things was vomited out into the sidewalk. She clutched the backpack straps and looked around frantically for Deidara. She spotted him already a good several yards away, walking up the stairs to exit the underground station.

She weaved and sped past people to catch up to him. "Hey!" She called out. She didn't expect him to hear her, but surprisingly he did and he spun his head around to see who said it. When he spotted her, his eyes grew wide and he started hurrying up the stairs faster, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Wait!" She cried dramatically. She stumbled past more people and finally got to the foot of the stairs, and began bounding up them two at a time. She tried desperately to keep him in sight, but he reached the top and disappeared into the big city atmosphere. She made it to the last step, but he was no longer in sight. She stared up at the pink sunset sky, disappointed. Looks like her adventure was shorter than she expected.

She wasn't going to let that deter her, though, and decided to brave the big city life all on her own. She marveled at the grand skyscrapers and the bright neon lights and the lanterns that were strung about. In all honesty, this place wasn't much different from the downtown portion of her home, but the fact that it was something new made it look like it was utterly breathtaking and unique.

The smell of freshly cooked food carried her down the sidewalk as she blindly walked into a large crowd of people to try and get to the source of the smell. Her endeavors were cut short though, when she ran into someone.

"Dang it," The person said, and when Y/n looked up, she saw it was Deidara who said it.

"There you are," She said. "Are you gonna try out that delicious smelling food?"

He glared at her. "I'm not here to sightsee. I've got business that needs to get done."

Y/n spotted the street vendor. "Well, you can't do business on an empty stomach. I'll buy you food."

"I don't need it," Deidara said.

She promptly returned to him with a paper plate of savory pancake called okonomiyaki. She dug into it with a fork and shoved the hot piece of bread into her mouth. "Your loss."

Deidara scoffed and rolled his eyes. "I could care less about that. I have a better place in mind."

They diverged from the crowd and onto the less busy side of the sidewalk. "Stay there," He said and left to enter an establishment. Y/n couldn't tell what the establishment was.
