"This is it!" Deidara proclaimed and abruptly stopped in the middle of an inconspicuous sidewalk. Y/n gazed up and studied the building he was referring to.

"A toy store?" She said, uncertainty clear in her demeanor. "You buy your special exploding clay at a toy store?"

He turned to her and put a hand on his hip, his hair curtaining one half of his face. "If you keep questioning me about my plans, I'm gonna leave you behind." Y/n didn't protest, and the two entered the small store, leaving the rain and the traffic noises behind. A little bell chimed, denoting their entrance. She glanced at Deidara and noticed the droplets of water that sparkled in his hair, and she resolved to buy them both umbrellas.

The shop was devoid of people, except for a single cashier who was re-arranging some things behind the counter. The two wordlessly went to different areas of the store. Y/n wandered between shelves, gazing at the colorful toys that sat there. Eventually, she found a rack that held umbrellas. She picked one up and inspected it, and was reminded of their adventure in Osaka, in which umbrellas aided in their escape. She vividly remembered the tight embrace she gave Deidara. She held the black umbrella in her hands and looked behind her, hoping to catch a glimpse of the subject of her daydream. She spotted him behind a couple of shelves, looking up at a product on the top shelf. She felt a little guilty staring at him, taking in his handsome countenance, so she looked back at the black umbrella. She shut her eyes and shook her head, trying to rattle out the romantic feelings that invaded her thoughts.

She grabbed a second black umbrella, but then decided that an awesome person like Deidara deserved something more eye-catching, so she chose a red umbrella.

When she went to pay for them she was startled by how closely the cashier bore her resemblance. Deidara was already at the register, bagging his purchase. She joined him at the register and said, "Can I buy these, too?"

The cashier smiled and took the umbrellas and rang them up. "130 yen, please,"

Y/n produced the cash, and now the umbrellas were in her possession. The two turned from the register and she handed him the red umbrella. He took it. As they exited the store, their umbrellas pointed upward and blossomed overhead. The rain pattered against the nylon canopy.

Deidara spent a few seconds looking up at the red umbrella, and Y/n deduced that he was pleased with it.

"Can I see what you bought?" She asked.

Deidara brought the plastic bag to her and she peered inside. She grew perplexed, and pulled out the product. "You said clay," She started, "But I didn't think you meant Play-Do!" She held the colourful container to her face.

"It's a disguise," He said and snatched the clay from her and placed it back in the bag. They started walking down the street. "Nobody would guess that I can use a children's modeling dough to blow their faces into smithereens!"

"They might not, but it's weird for a boy to be carrying a bag full of Play-Do. They might think we're hiding drugs from our moms or something."

"I'm not a boy." Deidara said sharply.

Y/n blinked. "What?"

"I'm not a boy. I think I'm deserving of the title 'man.'" He said this with a very serious face.

"I think you're a boy."

"What makes you think that?" Deidara challenged. "What's the difference between a boy and a man?"

"A boy is childish, while a man is mature."
"Stupid reason," He tilted his head away from her.

"Then what do you think?" She said, "Am I a girl or a woman?"
