At least, that's what it felt like. The motorcycle didn't actually explode, but it was just as terrifying. Deidara had crashed into something, and the motorcycle threw them off and sent them flying over the road. Y/n was spinning violently in the air, and at one point she was staring at her shoes, with the night sky as the background.

Luckily, for Y/n, she managed to land on her feet - not her head- when she hit the ground, but it was still very shocking and sent pain up her legs. She stumbled forward and broke her fall with her hands. Thankfully the road was empty.

Deidara wasn't as lucky as her, though, and when he landed on the road, he continued to tumble forward and it took him quite a while to come to a stop. When he finally did, he slowly stood up and held his head in his hands. "Perhaps runaways should start abiding by traffic rules," He said groggily.

Her eyes dizzyingly landed on the thing that Deidara crashed into. It looked like he ran into a man, but all the city lights were blurring together and it was hard for Y/n to make out the person's features. All she knew was that Deidara crashed into a man, but he appeared to be completely uninjured.

Finally, her vision cleared up, and she noticed the man was wielding a massive triple bladed scythe.

"Deidara!" He cried jovially. "You really gotta watch where you're going!"
"What do you mean, 'watch where you're going?' I was. You're the one who jumped in the middle of the street to stop us, Hidan!" Still dizzy, Deidara approached him.

Hidan spun his scythe like a baton. "You've got a point. One problem, though. I'm gonna kill you."

"Huh?" Deidara exclaimed. "Kill me? That's not the protocol for a defected member."

"No, it ain't," The muscular man shrugged. "But frankly, I'm sick and tired of you. Since Sasori's attempt, the boss hasn't ordered anyone to go after you again. But I think that's stupid, so I decided to capture and kill you myself." Then he stopped spinning his scythe and thrust the top on the ground. "If it wasn't for the stupid police I would have done it by surprise."

But by the time he stopped talking, Deidara and Y/n were already running away.

Hidan's eyes got wide. "Hey! Get back here!" He bellowed. It seemed as though Deidara underestimated Hidan's agility, because in the blink of an eye, he was in front of them blocking off their exit. He was spinning his scythe again, approaching them menacingly.

"Now that pisses me off," He said with a psychotic grin. "It's extremely rude to run off when someone is dumping exposition on you!" With his scythe, he slit his wrist.

Deidara said, "Y/n, get away! He's too dangerous to-"

"She already left," Hidan said candidly.

"Well, now I'm offended."

Hidan rolled his eyes. "Teenagers can't make up their minds." Blood was spilling voluminously from his wrist, it was piling up on the road. He placed his shoe in the puddle of blood, and started to make his signature immortality symbol.

"I'm sick and tired of your stupid rituals," Deidara said.

"I'm sick and tired of your stupid bombs." Hidan spat.

He had completed the symbol. Deidara would have tried to stop him before he did so, but he was wary of the scythe, and he knew full well that Hidan was much more skilled in close combat than he was. He could have deployed a bomb, which were in his pockets, but Hidan would survive it anyway since he was indestructable.

Well, at least, Deidara thought Hidan finished his ritual.

"What is this?" He exclaimed, "Someone keeps making chalk marks on my symbol!" He covered the mark up with more blood, but another mark promptly appeared, rendering the entire thing null.
