The silent night was probably taking a toll on them more than they can expect, Pete was still leaning against Vegas embrace while he tries to process Vegas words.
"Go to bed, it's really late." Vegas broke the silence and Pete was just leaning in his embrace, not looking at him.
"Let's just stay out here for the night, I want to enjoy the breeze, I have never done it here before," Pete said as he pulled Vegas closer.
Vegas kept quiet after Pete's words and he lay back and looked at the ceiling, "Pete..." Vegas called out his name, "Hmm..."
"Please don't leave me okay, I love you with my whole heart," Vegas said as Pete nodded his head, while he leans in.

Pete doesn't recall how he get back into Vegas' room again and this time the room was just fully ventilated, nothing trapped. He looked left and right but Vegas wasn't in the room, the door is never fully locked there is a tiny gap in between the door.
Pete got up and walked out of the room and this time he finally had the chance to look at the second floor, it felt so suffocating, it was as if the light just couldn't shine through and lit up the place, despite it being windy it felt like a prison on an island.
Pete's heart ached for Vegas knowing that probably half of his memory was about being thrown into this place whenever his father got angry and tears just flow down his cheeks.
But as long as Pete is in this place, whenever he closed his eyes the images of Vegas hurting him and telling him stuff like he was a pet and those days where his heart shattered into pieces while being kept captive, it was getting harder for him to walk out.
Pete took a moment before heading down, and all he saw was Vegas trying to cook up a southern curry dish for him, his clumsy hands were trying to cut on the chilies and onions and he was tearing up because the onions were spicing his eyes.
Pete walked towards him and Vegas did not notice anything because Pete was coming from the back, "Curry?" Pete asked as he hugged Vegas tightly from the back while he leans against Vegas' neck, Vegas nodded his head, turned around, and gave Pete a morning kiss.
"Vegas... After breakfast can... can we leave here?" Pete asked out, and he is avoiding eye contact with Vegas again.
Vegas froze for a moment, "Pete, you are still scared of me? Scared of everything? You don't trust me?" Vegas asked, while his hands were creasing Pete's back, "I am not scared of you and I trust you with my whole heart Vegas, I am just scared of this place Vegas.-"
He paused with his words, unable to continue, it was like something is killing him from inside.
"I am not okay, Vegas. I am not okay with this place, I am not okay with everything I see. I want to leave Vegas..." Pete plead and Vegas knew he couldn't force Pete any further, "I need to heal this on my own Vegas... I just can't do that with you, not with you..." Pete said.
This was something only Pete can overcome on his own, the more Vegas does this with him, the more Pete will be unable to walk out. It is true that Vegas loves him and Pete trusted Vegas. But, those days, those unspoken days weren't something that Pete could just forget or walk over it together with Vegas.
Because at the end of the day, it was Pete that can't walk out of it, if he wanted closure with the old Pete being trapped, he needs to do this on his own.

As they leave this place and headed to the boat, it was obvious that Pete's walking quickened towards the boat, and Vegas was more than aware that deep down, he wouldn't be the one to help Pete to overcome this because he was the very one who inflicted the pain and fear into Pete.
