VP's family outing ; untouched scars

Chapter 17 - 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒆

Kinn holds onto the main and minor family ring and has decided to officially remove that ruling that is dividing them.

"Let's do this as a family, no divisions," Kinn said as he offered his hands towards Vegas. 

Vegas looked at Kinn for a moment, honestly, he was a little shocked at how quickly Kinn accepted this and ended the divisions, it was a moment where he wished his father was here to see that both families could indeed live in peace.

"Vegas," Pete called out as his hands interlocked with Vegas and Vegas held onto Pete's hands as he shook his hands back with Kinn, "Let's do this,"

It was a surprisingly peaceful moment for everyone, it was not something that anyone here thought could happen to them. None of them wanted divisions, they were all kids when those things happened, and honestly, who would have wanted war between cousins? 

"So, it only took all of us to be trapped in a haunted house to realize that we could have done this as a family?" Kim asked out as everyone laughed.

"Maybe, after all, big brother wasn't crazy, to begin with." Kim continued as everyone hugged their partners and laughed.

The moment Tankhun allowed all of them to exit the villa, Kinn took the rings and buried them behind a tree that most likely couldn't be found by anyone since he was the only one who knew the location of the rings.

"Khun Noo, how did you know about everything?" Pete asked as they walked back towards the main resort with everyone else.

"I know lots of things, I just choose not to say. So, Pete, I know things about you too." Tankhun said as Pete took glances at Vegas who now looked so much more peaceful.

The sea breeze that blew through Vegas' face as he closed his eyes and enjoyed it, was something that Pete has never seen before - not at least till they were together. 

"Pete, there are some things you need to face and walk it through yourself or with Vegas, avoiding it won't help and I hope that lesson has already taught you." Tankhun said as Pete looked back at Tankhun.

Pete agreed with that. Because last night when Vegas agreed to let him do everything that he wanted, which meant Vegas trusted him with his whole life, and yet Pete was still stuck with that one thing that he needed to deal with it on his own.

As everything between the main and minor family has come to an end, Pete must now come to closure by himself. 

As the night sets in, Vegas and Pete lean against the bed and Pete was being extra clingy tonight and Vegas could feel the difference.

Pete leans against Vegas' chest as he held onto his fingers and Vegas was ruffling his hair, "I love you," Pete said and Vegas smiled, "I love you more," and it became a competition against each other on who is loving each other more.

But suddenly Pete leans up and kissed Vegas on his lips as he caressed Vegas's face, "No matter what I do, you will trust me?" Pete asked as he kissed Vegas' forehead while Vegas caressed his back while he looked in Pete's eyes with so much love.

"I trust you because I love you, Pete," Vegas said as they leaned in for another kiss. They just had a rough night and Vegas was kind enough to not do anything naughty as they fell asleep.

Yet, Pete was the only one who was fully awake, he took glances at Vegas and now that Vegas is finally in deep sleep, Pete woke up really softly and took his bag and his belongings while he changed his clothes.

Before he left the room he wrote a note for Vegas and gave him a kiss on his cheeks before leaving the mansion secretly.

Vegas had a good sleep till the morning but felt weird when he didn't feel any weight on his arms, he brushed the bed and tried to hug Pete but no one was beside him, he rubbed his eyes and looked around the room, "Pete?" he called out but to no response, he walked towards the bathroom and to his surprise, Pete wasn't there as well.

He looked around and found a note that says "Vegas, don't be scared. I am coming back, I promise. I just want to do something. Trust me, I love you so much." 

Vegas' heart almost sank and he fell into panic! He held onto the note and dashed out of the bedroom and headed towards the dining room where everyone is having breakfast, "Where's Pete?" Vegas asked panickily and everyone looked at him like he was mad, "He sleeps with you all night, how are we supposed to know?" Kinn said as he rolled his eyes at Vegas.

Vegas threw the note on the desk and dashed up to their bedroom and started packing his things.

"Don't leave me, Pete." Vegas' heart was begging, he was scared because Pete has never done something like that, even though that note gave him assurance but Vegas felt strange because Pete leaves without telling anyone anything!

"Khun Pete, do you need us here?" The minor family bodyguards asked as Pete got off the boat and he was now back at the safe house alone.

"No, it's fine, leave me. Remember, I want no one here, and make sure Vegas doesn't know that I am here." Pete ordered but the minor family bodyguards looked worried especially when Pete ordered them not to tell Vegas.

"I will deal with him once I am done, don't worry, no one getting fired or into trouble," Pete assured them, no one was getting into trouble because he is here at the safe house and the guards will have to not tell Vegas about Pete's whereabouts. 

"Yes Khun Pete," The minor family bodyguards bowed as they exit the safe house and now, this entire place only has Pete. His breathing quicken as he steps into the house, it was scaring him but he wanted to end this, he wanted to end whatever he was feeling.

He walked towards the locker room and found all the tools, he breathed in as he took the chains and knife and walked back up to the room that once kept him captive. 

The moment he pushed the room open, that scent of wood bedding, that faint lights that were barely covering the room, the cabinets that were now left empty. Pete breathed as he walked into the room and locked the door from within, he did this because Vegas might enter the safehouse once he finds that he is missing.

Now, it was time to face his fears, his pain.
