Three days passed. That morning, early na naman nag-wake up si James. Again, he came out from a good dream na kasama na naman niya si Isabel. At that point, I was suspecting na nagfo-fall na siya sa lola nyo. Either that or nakakalusot si Isabel sa guard ko and nagpa-plant siya ng romantic dreams sa subconscious ni James.

Well, just like the past few mornings, the first person na hinanap ni James when he woke up was Isabel. And just like the past few mornings, he found her at the garden, watering the plants.

That time, hindi agad nagpakita si James. He moved very quietly and snuck up on Isabel. Actually, mukhang gusto niyang gulatin yung lola nyo. He just didn't know na alam na ni Isabel na nandun siya-angel yung lola nyo, di ba? And she was just letting him do his stuff because kinikilig siya sa mga antics ni James.

One thing na di niya alam since she couldn't read his mind, she didn't know kung ano yung gagawin ni James.

Bigla siyang kiniliti ni James on both sides.

Napatili ang lola nyo. Syempre, kahit angel siya, may human body pa naman siya. Kasabay nung tili, napatalon pa siya and biglang napaharap kay James.

Consequently, since hawak niya yung water hose, tumama yung spray ng water sa paa ni James. Naka-basketball shorts lang kasi si James at that time.

Biglang nag-freeze si James like something alarming happened. His face went blank and napa-stare siya kay Isabel without a smile on his lips.

Since I was reading James's feelings and thoughts, napa-mouth open wide naman ako. Oh em gee...

Si Isabel, nag-panic agad. She immediately dropped the water hose and hinaplos-haplos si James trying to give immediate comfort. "James? Anong nangyari sa yo?" she was asking.

Si James, naka-stare lang sa kanya. And then he spoke in a very low voice. "Malamig..."

Napa-stare siya kay James, complete surprised. Hindi naman noob kaming mga angels so as not to deduct the meaning of every word. "Naramdaman mo yung tubig?" shocked niyang tanong.

Nag-nod his head lang si James.

At that moment, although mas nauna kong na-deduct sa mind ko yung nangyari, I was totally nganga. Naramdaman ni James yung water sa legs niya. It meant na may sensation na yung legs niya. It meant na may chance na siyang makalakad ulit.

My lips slowly formed a smile. But then again, parang kulang yung smile, so I giggled. But then again, parang kulang pa rin yung giggle, so I shouted for joy ako. "Oh yeaaaaaah!"

"I need to see the doctor," sabi ni James kay Isabel.

Ang ganda ng smile ni Isabel. Nag-nod her head pa siya several times. "Sasamahan kita."

Of course, sasama din ako!

But as I followed the two of them rush towards the house, napa-pause ako bigla. Napaisip ako bigla about the implication of the sudden turn of events.

Kung makalakad kasi ulit si James, there was a possibility na mag-back to the old James siya. You know, yung James the jerk na puro evil deeds yung naiisip gawin?

Lagot na naman if that would happen!
