"Summer Of 22"

•.The Next Day.•

I woke up to the smell of fresh pancakes lingering in my room, I sit up, rubbing my eyes. I throw the sheets off of me and walk out of the room, I walk to the kitchen to see Gabbie pouring syrup on a plate of pancakes.

Y/n: "Ooh.."

I said as I walked over and sat down next to Lav.

Ga: "Your favorite."

She said, sliding the plate to me, I smiled.

Y/n: "You're the best."

I said, taking a bite.

Ga: "I wish you thought that when we were younger."

I laughed and so did she. We ate our pancakes and talked, Lav made some funny faces which made us laugh. Gabbie had to run a few errands and asked if I wanted to go, and I said yes. It gives me a chance to look around, so why not?

I threw an outfit on and put my hair up into a bun, only adding mascara and a touch of lipgloss. Once I got done, I followed Gabbie and Lavender to the truck.

Our first stop was at the market, Gabbie picked up a few things for dinner tonight. She grabbed a few other things that she needed around the house, then we left there and decided to walk around town. There was a cute cafe that was serving boba, so we went in and got some.

Ga: "So, how are things at home?"

She said as we sat at a little table, looking out at the ocean and mountains.

Y/n: "everything's good."

She nods.

Ga: "When are you going to college?"

Y/n: "Three months."

I said, taking a sip of my drink.

Ga: "Oh, wow.."

Y/n: "I know, I'm kinda scared."

I said with a slight chuckle.

Ga: "You're gonna be fine, you'll do great and before you know it, you'll be graduating."

She said, I nod. Gabbie always gives me good advice, so I think I can trust her on this one.

Ga: "Oh, I wanna show you something."

She said, I furrow my eyebrows and smile a little.

Y/n: "What?"

Ga: "You'll see, but we have to run by the house real quick.. you'll need a bathing suit."

Y/n: "Okay."

I said and get up with her and Lav, then we get back in the truck and she drives home, we run inside and change into bathing suits, I threw a white oversized shirt on to cover it. Then we left.

Gabbie drove down a sort of bumpy road and it was like a forest in here, there were trees and plants everywhere, which it looked beautiful. We then park and get out, Gabbie had told me earlier that two of her friends are going to be here with us, so we waited for them.

A few minutes go by and I see a car pull up, we get out and so do her friends.

Ga: "Hey."
