The artificial light glared through Cobble's closed eyelids, a groan of annoyance leaving his lips. Trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes, he sat up in bed and rolled onto the floor. The alabaster-colored floor was cold against his bare chest. With another groan, he picked his head up to see his Sableye staring disapprovingly at him.

"What? Late night," he told his Pokémon, which only shook its head. "Ok...I might have tried snooping around as well."

He Sableye handed him a dark grey tank top, which he graciously put on.

After saying his goodbyes to Faba yesterday, Cally led him to the cafeteria to grab a bite. Sableye had finally tuckered out, wanting to go back into his ball after the odd day they all had. Walking in, though used to the plain yet futuristic look the main building had, it was nice to see a stark rustic contrast that was the commissary. It gave him a feeling of rolling hills filled with Mudsdale, a sweet little farmhouse snug between white picket fence.

The food it housed was packed with lip-smacking flavors. Even though most of it looked like you would find it in a meal packet for gym routines, it tasted like a five-star restaurant that only the upper class would dine at.

Chatting with Cally as he ate, they eventually made their way to another floor that was the main sleeping quarters. Corridor after corridor of rooms for each person, Cobble only then realized the sheer number of people that worked here.

"Oh! Faba handed this to me while you were helping the Tangela," Callie told him, placing a keycard in his hand. Looking at the bright neon number on the bright gold and white card, it read the number 68.

"So close..." Cobble sulked, his head bobbing down.

"Huh?" Callie questioned, putting a pointer finger to her cheek.

"Nothing!" Cobble shot straight up, readjusting his gloves. "Just mumbling to myself."

Cally laughed. "Y'know, you're kinda weird Cobble."

Cobble walked with her as she led him down the corresponding hallway. "Heh, I get that I lot." Finally reaching the correct door, Cally turned to him with a beaming smile.

"Here you are! Your room should already have all your belongings that were taken off the boat," she told him. Putting his keycard against the sensor, it clicked open to show what would be his home for a substantial while.

If a hotel room had a baby with an alien ship, this is what would have been created. The sides of his room paired with the building - pearly white. Yet there was a splash of deep grey and ash if he looked at it from the right angle. There was a bed in the corner, milky sheets and pillows with his suitcase and other supplies on it. A small dresser adjoined it, and a closer look at the westward wall revealed a sliding door that his extra clothes had most likely been put in. A rug shaped like the Aether Paradise insignia sat in the middle of the room, a nice contrast to all the whites. A fan with a bulb slowly turned overhead - there was even a sizable TV that faced the cot.

Was that a mini-fridge as well?

Both he and Cally stepped inside. Looking at the chestnut-haired girl, she seemed to be hiding something from him. Either the hands behind her back gave it away, or how her mouth was puffed like a blowfish ready to explode.

"Get this!" She squeaked, hopping to the dresser beside the bed and pressing buttons on the wall that Cobble had missed. The barest of walls started to swirl and change colors, the bleak and pasty turning into vibrant colors. Cobble was now looking at a scenic mountain and forest, the sun caressing the edges of the mountainside. The illustrious orange and pink blazes in the sky showed it was sunset. Even birds flew in the background.
