Chapter 14

LAUREN's POV

"Alexa, I am going somewhere" I told Alexa as she was tagging me to go back to the dance floor. The floor deserted after 5SOS' performance. They all came to the backstage to try to have a picture or an autograph from the band, the DJ still continued playing music and now Alexa is trying to drag me to the backstage to also try luck meeting 5SOS close.

"Come on Laur. I wanna know if they remember me" Alexa said to me referring to the concert of Maroon 5 where 5SOS opened.

"They remember you, I'm sure of it. Now please let me go"

"Where are you going anyway?" Alexa said now releasing her hold of me.

"To the bathroom" I said. I can't tell her I'm going to the gazebo, she will throw a lot of questions. The gazebo at the side of the school was hidden, how the hell did Luke find it?

"Alright. Come back soon. I need to brag Luis that I became your date tonight" I laughed at her and made my way to the gazebo.

It was a like a five minutes walk over there that's why not a lot of students go there. When I reach the place, my jaw dropped. This gazebo looked abandoned and useless since no students really go here..

But right now it's the opposite. It has decors everywhere. Lights are all over the place, the vines of the plants that look so disgusting back then now looks romantic because of the tiny lights that surround it. There are also candles around the place, and petals of roses everywhere. I looked up and there I saw him. His back is facing me and his hands are on his pocket. There is a table in front of him and I saw a bouquet of roses. and God his back looks so handsome.

"And I thought you're not romantic" I told him laughing while I lift the lower part of my dress to get up the stairs. He turned around and there he is. He smiles and that smile is full of life, you can see his happiness and joy through his eyes. He looks older because of his hair, and it looks like his body is toning up.

"Tonight's an exception" He said holding his hand out to me and helping me get to the gazebo. Once I got my balance on, he turned around again and reached for the bouquet of flowers.

"For you'' He said smiling. I reached for it and thanked him. I'm pretty sure I am blushing as hell right now.

"So.. I saw you dancing alone earlier. Where is your partner?" He asked me staring me directly into my eyes. Stop Luke.

"He.. uhm, got some stomach problems. He couldn't come" I answered honestly. I heard him sigh.

"I know it's late. But since you don't have a partner . would you like to go to prom with me?" Luke said reaching for my hand. I am in shocked and I'm pretty sure I'm blushing like a tomato right now. I just nodded and put my hand on his.

"Yes of course. So should we make our way now there?" I said pointing to the hall where the real prom is happening.

"Nah.. we don't need to" He said. I raised my eyebrows at him questioningly.

"You're here anyway . Wherever you are, that's where my prom is" He added as he fishes something out of his pocket. I look at it and saw a corsage; he put it on my wrist. He stayed his eyes there looking, smiling, until he fished something again out of his pocket, and I saw a tiny rose. I reached for it and put it into his pocket at his vest.

"Since when did you get so romantic? Who are you again?" I said giggling while I'm putting the rose. He just pouted and I kissed his cheeks. He smiled at the gesture. He reached for my hand again and put it in the back of his neck. We slowed dance to the song that was playing in the hall which can be still heard at the place we are in.
