The memories, they keep swirling your mind. You see them viewing your stories and posts and now you can only think about them. You watch your views as your mind fills with memories, a list of all you did together. All the little but loving things that happened with you guys, you miss it. Do you miss them? Or do you miss what you were? I think you miss them because if you missed what you were, why aren't you trying to find it with someone else? It's because you can't, it will never be the same. The memories are keeping a hold on you, a hold on the non existent love. The memories, getting boldly put on a list in your head that you read over and over again. You list them off one after another,
•Laying on slides while watching the stars and talking about your lives and the planets
•Getting each other thoughtful gifts
•Writing poems and love letters detailed with everything you love about each other
•Helping each other through struggles and being a support system
•Laying in a field aimlessly watching the clouds after skateboarding
•Cooking together
•Telling each other thing you don't tend to talk about much
•Matching outfits and jewelry
•Receiving sentimental gifts including things from their culture that you don't just gift away
•Getting close with each other's families
•Watching movies while cuddling with their little siblings
•Laughing together
•Loving each other
The list goes on, it could go on for days. You've held on to all the memories and keep remembering more and more as your mind races in circles. How do you forget the love and memories of the only person you've ever truly fallen in love with? You're stuck, you're back at square one. How do you escape the memories filled with laughter, love, tears, adventures, and everything else that made you guys a beautiful bond. A beautiful bond that broke. The memories, the memories are all you have.
