DURING THE CAR RIDE FROM THE AIRPORT,
Vicky told her parents all that happened which abruptly ended up with Lori and Donny cussing the man out and threatening him.
She thought about what Shuji had told her. She thought about it a lot. The two hadn't spoken a few days after that.
She, of course, told her parents this. The conversation was long and a bit complicated but truthful.
"Vicky... I wonder why your standards are so low." The mother started off, making both Donny and Vicky give her a confused looked.
"You were a spoiled and loved little girl, and you deserved that. You deserve to be spoiled and loved like a little girl again, but right now, you're settling for either a cheater or your high school boyfriend. Do you honestly think that either once can love you the way you deserve?"
Vicky had an answer on the tip of her tongue but held back. "While that is a question you should automatically know, you should think about it."
Vicky nodded and sat back on her bed. "I'm gonna cook some dinner. Shower and get out of your pajamas, alright?" Vicky nodded.
Lori leaned in and kissed her daughter's forehead. "I love you more than life itself, you hear me? I want the best for you. Get you someone that loves you as much as we do... And if you think Hanma or whoever else does love you like that then... we'll accept that." Lori looked at Donny who nodded in agreement. "Thank you."
The parents went out. Vicky did as she was told. She took a shower and did her hair, putting on a tiny bit of makeup, then began to get dressed.
While getting into her clothes she got a text from Shuji telling her that he was at the door and wanted to take her to the beach. She took this as a sign immediately.
She put on baby pink flare pants that matched the pink on her pink and white top and went to open the front door.
"I know it's late and cold as hell but, it'd be nice to see the-"
"Just let me get my shoes, okay?" She spoke excitedly. "Got it." He smiled down at her as she stumbled and moved out of the way to let him into her home.
"Oooh, shit! Hey, boy!" Lori exclaimed, going from the kitchen to the living room to give the man a hug.
"Good to see you again." Shuji said, hugging the woman back. Donny went and gave Shuji a handshake.
"Don grew a few and got more bass in his voice so he not scared no more." Lori teased making Shuji and Vicky laugh.
"Veryy funny." Donny said with a small smile. "Uhm, I'm goin' out for a little if that's alright." Vicky said to her mom.
