CHAPTER ELEVEN
Maxxine
I'M SORRY, I CAN'T HELP but notice today's events can be made into the perfect thriller and also some action movie. With all this mission suicide (well, more like going to get caught and end up in jail), and the day has filled the atmosphere with adrenaline, filling every inch of our body with the rush coursing through our veins. Today was very eventful, most of them is not that good but it is a little bit too early to say. After all, the day is still young. Okay, that sounded weird.Anyways, let me revise the day's events. We, meaning the two well-known Princes' in the world, Prince Harry and Prince James, and we three friends, found out our friend's friend was not an Extra but a Trunk, sneaked out of the historic mayor's what's-his-face's bedroom, almost been caught twice, entered an unknown--but definitely beautiful library, found two useful books needed and is now being pushed by the princes' behind a humongous shelf with Cass and Tyler (the Trunk but acted as an Extra.)
Hmm, that was just half of today's events...yup, definitely a thriller and action movie. Well, more on the action if you ask me.
As Prince Harry pushes me and Jillian where Cass and Tyler are standing behind the last shelf with only one entrance to it. I don't know how on earth Tyler got there just in time, but I don't know too if we should consider ourselves lucky for that. Then a small but firm hand came flying on my mouth keeping me quiet and still, but I didn't need to fight it as I knew who it was.
In a split second, I saw Prince Harry give Tyler what looked like a warning glare and Prince James gave each of us (except Tyler) a concerned face, but lingered that look on Jillian. With that, they sped off to the direction of the library doors. I saw Jillian screamed and lunged forward at them once they left, but luckily it was muffled by Tyler's hand and he kept her still with his arm firm on her waist.
"Listen Jillian, it's either this or all of us get caught. The Princes' are willing to sacrifice for us to escape, now are you just going to throw that all away?" Tyler said in a hushed voice that from where I currently am, I almost couldn't hear it. Jillian just shook her head a 'no' and stood still leaning on Tyler, trying to calm down.
I looked back at Cass and the first thing I saw was worry, sadness, fear and concern in her eyes, but quickly replaced it with calm and soft ones. Man, she's good.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here. Two Royalties that escaped from their humble homes, and why is that? Doesn't your palace have a library trice the size of this?" A strangely confident and over powering voice steadily asked. I shivered in fear.
Who is this guy? What gave him the right to talk to Roots like that? After all, they are just Trunks right?
Before I could continue asking myself anymore, Prince James with even more intimidating voice boomed through out the library, "Our father order us to gather more research in this very centuries old library, for it holds older and historic information. The mission was to get away and not be caught by any Trunk. But it seems the Royal Advisor caught us instead," I could almost see Prince James glaring at this guy.
A Royal Advisor?! What would a Royal Advisor be doing in a place like Bellevoir? Could he have been following the Princes' from the palace all this time? That is very likely.
I shook my head for I know these questions won't be answered by just asking myself.
"Nice explanation there, James--" and he has the authority to call them by first name basis?! "--but we'll believe that explanation when the King says so himself." I wasn't the only one who was shocked. All four of us were. I'm starting to doubt if this person was even more than a Royal Advisor.
"I wouldn't doubt my brother's explanation if I were you, Uncle," Prince Harry spitted the word 'uncle' as if it was some sort of acid. That's why he sounded so highly. He was their uncle.
"I only follow the king's orders and believe his explanations. Now guards, take these two and send them off with me back to the palace. My brother will be pleased that I finally caught the two troublemakers that, should I say, escaped."
I heard firm paces of feet and struggling of the two Princes'. I turned my head to my friends. Cass had a frown. Jillian's eyebrows were knitted together as Tyler wore an anger expression. It looked like Tyler knew this uncle of theirs. I sighed mentally, it is a depressing moment for us.
The doors slammed shut and I heard Tyler sight deeply. He finally released Jillian and turned to look out of the bookshelf as we stood planted in our current places. A couple of silent seconds later, Tyler turned back to face us "Alright guys, we need to sneak in back to the mayor's bedroom and from there on you three will go to that the same secret passage as I will be left behind. I cannot escort you back to your homes for I still have work to do and they might get suspicious."
Well, this is it. I still can't believe it, the Princes' of Alzalea just saved us from imprisonment. And here I thought the were as strict and scary as their father.
I was the only one who nodded as I saw Cass and Jillian silently looking at the ground, but I knew they heard Tyler. I sighed, I carefully slipped my arms around theirs. This immediately made them look at me, confusion written all over their faces.
"Hey, it's gonna be alright. Where is those cute smiles of yours guys? After all, we still have a chance to see them in The Worthy, not be one of them, but see them. And hey, the Princes' of Azalea just saved our butts. Don't you guys think they would want us to mope all day blaming ourselves for not saving them?" I saw both of the shook their heads and Jillian rubbed her face gave the smallest smile I ever saw. At least that's something. I turned to Cass and I didn't have to worry. No, she wasn't smiling but me being her best friend, one look at her eye she was just fine. I heard a Tyler clear his throat and we snapped our heads toward him. "I hate to interrupt, but we need to move. Now." He was right. Any Trunk could come barging in any minute now.
No one responded. We just scattered our way towards the doors. I sighted the library doors and Jillian's hand reached forward to the door knob. But it opened just before her hand touched it.
I panicked, this cannot be happening. The Princes' are going back the palace just for us to escape and now we repay them by getting caught?! This can't be right!
The door was pushed opened and I saw someone I never thought I'd see again.
