Lauren and Camila manage to pick out an apartment together in a matter of hours without ever actually seeing each other. Lauren has been taking pictures and sending them to Camila and she's been telling Lauren what she likes and what she doesn't. She's going to pick up Emily early and meet Lauren at the new building so that she can sign the papers and put down the deposit that her parents gave her. The landlord was sympathetic to their sob story and made sure that they could move in immediately.
Lauren is also planning a date. It's going to be a desperate stab at redemption. Lauren knows she fucked up yet again and Camila's been distant. Lauren hates herself for it and she needs Camila to smile again. So Lauren is trying to organize the perfect date as well as pack all of their stuff and move it now because when their date is over, they're going to the new apartment.
There's a knock on their door as Lauren is sitting in the middle of a bunch of half-empty boxes in their old apartment. Lauren huffs in frustration and gets up to answer it.
Normani smiles at Lauren and walks in. Josh just sort of stands in the hallway before stepping inside, "Normani said that you may need help moving some bigger stuff. I borrowed my buddy's truck."
Lauren sighs and nearly hugs Normani. Lauren completely forgot about moving the beds. "It's so hard to plan a move and a date in the same day."
Normani nods and walked around the already empty living room, "Does your new apartment have a dance space for Mila and Em?"
Lauren nodded, "Of course." That was Lauren's number one requirement when she went looking for apartments. Lauren loves it when Emily and Camila dance around for hours and hours. She could watch them forever. Their new dance floor is where normal people would put their living room. It's right off of the kitchen sorta like this one. The only major difference in their new apartment is that Emily's room is in the same tiny hallway that hers and Camila's room are on with the sole bathroom between them.
Normani does a little twirl in the middle of the living room and Josh chuckles walking up to her. He chivalrously offers his hand to her and she takes it. They starts dancing together, a sort of ballroom thing that looks rehearsed.
Lauren is so confused by their relationship at this point. Lauren doesn't know if they're together or they're friends with benefits or just friends. Lauren finally shakes herself out of her thoughts and walks back into the bedroom where she nearly folds Camila's clothes before putting them in boxes. Lauren just shoves all of her clothes into a box. She's tired of packing.
After a few minutes, Normani steps in and grabs an empty box telling Lauren that she's going to go pack Emily's room. Josh gets a box and asks if it's okay for him to pack their kitchen stuff. Lauren nod in the affirmative and he takes off.
Because of the small number of things they own, it only takes half an hour to finish packing their stuff. It takes another fifteen minutes to get all the boxes fit into Camila's car.
Normani just stands to the side giggling and occasionally directing Lauren and Josh as they try to maneuver Lauren and Camila's mattress out of the building. Emily's bed is much easier as is the small dining table. Lauren put the nightstands in the front seat of Josh's friend's truck and make one last sweep of the apartment.
As they're walking back out to Camila's car, Lauren gets a call. When she answers, Camila tells her that she already picked up Emily and they're on their way to the new apartment. Lauren tells her that they're on the way with Normani and Josh.
When they get there, what else but dancing is happening in the middle of the new living room to the music blaring from Camila's phone. Normani jumps in and Josh of course follows. Lauren stands watching the group for a little over five minutes before she decides to start bringing up boxes. Lauren manages to get up most of the boxes without the dance party noticing.
