Raenna just walked out of the back when she noticed Jack walking in the burger place. She couldn't help but smile at him. Ever since that random visit that Jack did, he had been coming back multiple times without any of his friends.
"You're back, again." She said as she fixed her ponytail. Jack smiled at her and shrugged, "The burgers are great." He said. She chuckled and nodded as she walked behind the counter, "So the usual then?" she asked as she started to write it the now memorized order down.
Jack hummed and nodded, "Yeah but I wanted to ask if you can take your break?" he asked. This made Raenna to look at him with furrowed eyebrows as he smiled at her. "Well I was thinking, it's nice outside, maybe I can eat the burger outside..." he trailed.
"I mean, yeah you can but what does that have to do with my break?" she asked genuinely confused. Jack chuckled, "Would you want to join me?"

Jack watched with a grin as Raenna laughed at his silly joke again. It warmed his heart that he could make her laugh the way she was at the moment.
Her head titled back, eyes closed, a sly snort was heard and a tint of pink rested on her cheeks. "Come on, it wasn't that funny." He said as he cleaned the wrappers of his burger.
Raenna chuckled and wiped her eyes, "I know but it was the way you said it." she said looking back at him. She smiled at him and he nodded, "I guess I'm a funny guy." He said.
She nodded in agreement, "You are." she said. He looked at her and raised his eyebrows, "Like, genuinely you think that?" he asked. She hummed and nodded again, "Genuinely. You're like one of the naturally funny people in my life. Which says a lot because I don't know that much people." She said with a chuckle.
Jack couldn't help but grin, "Thanks." He said. She grinned back at him, "You're welcome." she said. Raenna wouldn't admit it vocally but Jack's little visits while she was at work made her day extremely better. She would always find herself laughing or smiling when he was around.
"You know, you're a great friend to have around." She said looking at the sky, the clouds passing. Jack hummed and looked up, following her actions. "Like, my life had been repetitive for so long. And then you and the others came and I met you. I understand why Ran loves you guys a lot." She said.
"You're a cool person too!" he said excitedly. She chuckled and nodded, "I guess... but really Jack, thanks for coming by when you can. It means a lot to me." she said genuinely as she looked back at him.
Jack looked at her and his heart jumped at the look she was giving him. It was of appreciation and gratefulness. It made him melt inside.
"It's my pleasure." He said quietly. She smiled but sighed, "I'm gonna miss you though. The visits. When you go back to the UK." She said with a pout.
He hummed, "We can still talk. I mean I don't know if you have discord but-" "Can I have your number?" she cut him off.
His eyes widened and jaw dropped. He was clearly shocked at how Raenna casually asked for his number. She chuckled and reached her hand out to close his mouth, "Don't want to catch flies now do you?" she joked.
Jack chuckled and nodded, "Yeah, here... we don't have any paper." He said with a shy chuckle. Raenna pulled out her pen and offered her arm, "I don't have my phone but here." She said.
He looked at her confusedmaking her chuckle, "Write your number." "On your arm?" "Yes Jack. On my arm."
