Chapter 2- Museum Day

The day has finally come for us to go to this museum trip. Great. The teachers let one class at a time go on the busses and my class was last.

We got on the bus and me and my friends say in the middle. I sat next to the window with Sky next to me and Maddie and Grace in-front if us.

"What are you looking forward too?" Asks Maddie as she applies red glossy lipstick "I know that I am looking forward to seeing the boys!"

"Aren't you always looking forward to seeing the boys?" I ask her.

"Well yea! There cute!" She replies looking over her shoulder to me "I know Jack is interested in you!"

"Oohh!" Says Grace and Sky.

"Shut up!" I say in a loud voice "he can interested in me as much as he wants but I will never be interested in him!"

I then block out there conversation and look out the window as the bus drives off. I want this day to end.

The bus ride takes two hours to get to the museum on the outer rim of the city. When the bus finally stops to let us off, the teacher keeps us seated so she can count us.

It's no like someone jumped through the window thirty minutes ago!

We wait patiently as each of our names are called off. To be honest, I didn't see the devils or Jack get on till I heard there names.

After about ten minutes, we were finally aloud off in a single file like we were prisoners. When we got into the museum, my mouth fell open like everyone else.

This place was huge!

The first thing you see is a huge skeleton of a T-Rex. We were eventually lead into another room where the other three classes were waiting.

The museum manager introduced himself and explained what this museum was about but I just ignored him.

Eventually our teachers lead the classes to different areas. The teachers tell us to get into groups of eight since their was so many of us to do small groups.

As soon as she finished, everyone vanished in seconds in their groups like they had planned it. Till it was me, my friends and the devils and Jack.

Great.

I looked over at the boys to see them talking then agree on something. Jack then walks a few metres over to us.

"Can we go with them?!" Asks Maddie with excitement in her voice to me.

"Yea! It might be fun!" Adds Sky.

"Let's do this" says Grace in her normal bored voice. I sigh.

"Fine..." I reply with a sigh already regretting my answer. I then turn away from the exited girls and I've to Jack and stop a few feet from him. "So-"

"The boys would like to join you girls" he says in a voice like it wasn't his idea.

"And the girls want to join you and the boys" I reply with a sigh "I guess we are one big group"

"Yep" he says looking in my eyes. He then turns around and signals for his boys to come over, the girls must of gotten the message because soon, me and Jack were in the middle of the group as the girls and boys talk.

This is going to be a great day!

We eventually started walking around in small groups. Sky with Mike. Grace with Zane. Maddie with Buck and Jacka and me at the back.

We just walked around the museum and everyone seems to be having a great time but me and Jack haven't spoken a word.

We turn into the Amazon area and the groups split off in different directions. Me and Jack just stand there in the entire way confused in what to do next.

"So...what do you want to see?" Jack asks me as he looks at the map.

"Maybe animals" I reply walking over to a stuffed monkey "they killed this animal just so it can be stuffed and shown off to people"

"Yuck!" Says Jack as he walks over to me and leans against the rail. "I wonder how it got extinct?" He asks in a sarcastic voice.

"There extinct because there here" I reply with a grin. He smiles.

"I wonder what the others are doing" he says as we lean against the rail and looks t each other.

"Probably making out" I reply with a smile.

"Where?" He asks me as he hand me the map. I think for a bit.

"Sky and Mike are in the Jurassic area...Grace and Zane are in the future area and Maddie and Buck are in the regular makeout zone" I reply with a confident grin.

"Ad that would be?" He asks turning to me with a silly grin.

"The janitors closet of course!" I reply. He laughs a bit. I have missed his laugh. "What's so funny?"

"It's funny because it's true" he replies as we start walking through the jungle.

"How would you know?" I ask with a big grin.

"Ha ha, no! I haven't" he replies laughing as he spoke.

We both laugh for a bit as we walk. After we calmed down a bit, we just chill and walk around looking at things.

"So what have you been up to lately?"

"Nothing much" I reply "school work, exams, work"

"Work?" He asks as he looks down at me with his golden eyes.

"Yes! Work! Some people actually work at our age" I reply looking in his eyes with a smile.

"What do you do?" He asks with a smile and a grin mixed into one on his face.

"A waitress at a cafe" I reply "it gives me enough money to help pay bills and save up"

"Save up for what?"

"What do you think? A car" I reply "I am the only year twelve without a car if my own"

"I can get-" he stops when I raise my hand.

"No" I reply "I am not letting someone else but my first car! Yes, your rich but I don't care! I want to buy my car!" He stops and grabs my arm with his hand.

"You can ask for help, you know that right?" He asks me with worry now all over his face. I nod. "so you can tell me what's going on"

"Nothing is going on!" I reply breaking his hold "can we just drop this and go find the others?"

I the walk off to find the girls. I really don't want to tell him.

He doesn't need to know about my life, why would he be?

He is the one that left!

I just want this day to end.
