Bella's POV:
Fear floods through my body at those words.
"Is there a cure?" I ask with tears starting to form in my eyes.
The boys look at each other, giving me the answer. I break down in tears, holding onto Jack's cold hand.
"I can't loose him...not now...not ever"
"Their has to be a way? Right?" Asks Hope, the boys stay silent. "Zane? Your smart! You can fix him? Right?"
"Math is easy...medicine is a hole other level" he replies.
"Bella..." says Jack in a very quiet voice but yet everyone hears it. I look in his eyes.
"I am here" I reply as I pat his head, "I am here"
"You must...leave..." he says looking in my eyes. His golden swirls are slowing down.
"I am not leaving you...don't even think that!" I reply with sadness flooding my voice.
"You must...stop the...dark cyclops..." he continues "your Mythias...only hope...I did my part...I can't go on..."
"Shut up! Don't say that! Your going to be fine!" I say with angry sadness in my voice, "you still need to teach me how to play dead!"
He giggles, "Bella..." he moves his hand up my arm and cups my face in it, "I love you...so you need to leave me..."
"I am not leaving! You didn't leave me when I was dying! I am staying here!" I bark with tears running down my cheek, "your going to be...ok..."
Hope then start to drain from me.
I place my hand on his and kiss it, "I need you to meet my parents...they need to meet my boyfriend"
"I would love to meet your...parents...if there anything like you...they will allow me...to date you..." he replies with a smile.
"I got it!" Yells Zane out of no where. Me and Jack both look at him.
"Got what?" I ask him, hoping for a answer.
"There might be a way to cure Jack!" He replies walking over to us and bending down next to me.
"Then what is it?" I ask him.
"The Crystal Lake!" Replies Zane, he then turns to Jack, "can you hold on for a few more days?"
"I can try...but...I don't think..." his hand falls from my face causes me to full on panic.
I check his pulse. It's faint.
"We must hurry!" I bark, "he is dying!"
"Mike, Buck! Kitchen now!" Barks Zane as he gets up.
The boys go to the kitchen as me and the girls stay with Jack.
I pat a damp towel on Jack's forehead to get rid of his sweat.
A few minutes pass till the boys return from the kitchen with a map in Zane's hands. They lay the map down on the coffee table and bend down around it.
"Ok...so the Crystal Lake is very hard to get to but it is close" says Zane, he then points to a mountain on the map, "we are here" he drags his finger across the map to a forest, "this is where the lake is said to be"
"'Said to be'?" I ask him.
"No one has ever found the lake...if they have...they would have gone missing" replies Mike "we can't risk all of us going"
"So who goes?" Asks Sky.
"I will go" says Buck "I am the strongest out of all of you, I will go"
"Who said your the strongest?" Asks Zane " I know the area, I should go"
"If people get killed in their, you have to know how to fight" says Mike "you don't!"
"I do!" Argues Zane.
"Only during training! You were evacuating the people and animals during the war" replies Buck.
"Seriously?" Asks Grace to Zane.
"Well...ya, but I did kill a monster!" Points out Zane.
"I did most of the killing" replies Mike.
They continue to argue.
Rage and sadness gets the better of me as I erupt like a raging volcano.
"SHUT UP!!!" I yell at the top of my voice turning to face all of their shocked and terrified faces, "I will go!"
"But-" starts Mike but I stop him.
"It's not up for debate" I reply, I turn back to Jack to see him in pain, "I am going for him...I have powers, I can protect myself"
"What do you mean powers?" Asks Zane.
"I killed the monster who shot Jack...with an avalanche" on the last words, I looked back over to Zane, "I am sort of like a Jedi...used the force you could say" and with that, I leave them and go into my room.
I grab my bag with all my things in it and walk back to the others.
"How do we get you out?" Asks Buck "the army has surrounded the place" he looks outside to where dozens of monsters stand, waiting.
Waiting to attack.
"I have a way" I reply with a smile. I walk over to the bedroom and into the walk in closet. "Sky hole"
I point to the hole in the roof where theirs a trap door leading to the top of the mountain.
The others look at it.
"How did you know about that?" Asks Mike "Mactoi didn't mention any sky hole"
"Because Jack built it for things like this" I reply "now help me up" they lift me up and I shimmy my way out.
But before I close the door, I look down at the others, "keep Jack hydrated and comfortable...bye"
"See ya!" They reply.
"Good luck" adds Buck as I close the door.
I will need luck.
I start climbing down the mountain, making sure to stay out of sight from the monsters. I make my way into the forest but before I step into the forest, I look back.
My friends are up there, my lover, yet I am leaving them.
God I hope Zane is right about this.
I turn back to the forest and take a deep breath.
"Hold on Jack" I say hoping that he heard it. I feel him smile.
He heard it.
