Chapter 1

I am a very kind person, I am only a mean person if you piss me off. Everything seems to be going on just fine right now. I'm on a mission right now. I was told that there was a demon going around the town at night taking away young children devouring them without leaving a trace as to where they go or when they come back. The crow said that there may be more than one demon which I'm fine with. It's nothing I can't handle. Oh yeah I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Y/n Uzui, and I am the one and only flash hashira.
I get to the village and I walk around not wanting to waste my money when I wont even be here for that long. I do notice something while I'm walking. The people are all gloomy, but who wouldn't be in this village? Having to wonder if their child is going to be the next or maybe a niece or nephew. I know I would be afraid of losing any of that category.
"I would like to have a full assessment on this situation" I say walking up to some people. They look confused at first not knowing why I'm here. "What is it with the missing children" I clarify. "Oh that, every night children are being taken nobody knows why or who takes them but the only thing we know is that whatever took them leave no traces" a lady said in despair. I can tell she once had a child. "Is that so? Please explain to me in full detail about the children that were taken" I say. If I can find out something about the kids their taking maybe I can predict the next kid this demon takes. "Why do you wanna know?" A man spits out. "I just want to and I don't remember asking you" I tell him smiling. He's lucky I'm on a mission. "Oh yes, every night a child goes missing it's always a child with a disability but only sometimes it's a child without a disability" the lady says. "I'd hate to intrude on anything personal but did your child have a disability?" I ask squinting my eyes.
She gasps and widens her eyes. "How did you" she didn't finish her sentence. "I know that look in your eyes, it's the look of someone who lost someone very precious" I say softly to her. I see tears threatening to fall down her face. "Yes, my son had a weak body he could barely stand on his own but the night he went missing his blankets were off his bed an-and the windows were open" she cries out. I hug her. "It will be alright, i will avenge every child who has been taken" I say. She hugs back but then backs up. She looks up at me confused. I know she doesn't understand what I mean by taken. "Follow me" I say walking away from the group. The men around doesn't look to happy with that because they try it follow. "I'm sorry but can you guys please stay back for a while I can only afford to tell her this due to the fact that it may spoil my plan" I say politely to them. They nod reluctantly and back up but they keep an eye on me and the lady probably making sure I don't do anything. "Wait what did you-" "demons" I say cutting her off. She widens her eyes at this. I'm guessing that she is among some of the people who don't know that demons even exist. There are some people in this world that know of demons but there are also some people who have never heard of or seen a demon before. "Demons Are horrible man eating monsters that eat humans but they are not to be exposed to the sun or they will die instantly" I say to her. She nods signaling for me to continue. "I am a demon slayer, I was sent here to put an end to this demon because not only is it killing children but all of the demon slayers being sent here aren't making it back" I fill her in. "Wait, if the other demon slayers don't make it back why would they send you alone? Aren't they worried for your safety?" She asks sincerely. I get why. "I do love your concern and I really appreciate it but you mustn't worry ma'am because the person your talking to right now is one of the strongest slayers out there, the flash hashira!" I exclaim. Yeah I know I'm showing off but I'm not that bad compared to my brother. I wonder what he's doing right now. "Oh? A hashira? What is that?" She asked. What? I literally just-. "The strongest of the demon slayers" I say with an irk on my head. "Oh, well I wish you luck in battle" she says bowing. "I do appreciate your kind gesture but it is not necessary as I'm just doing my job" I say bowing to her. "Please do excuse me I see that the sun is going down and I still have a job to do" I say getting serious. She bows and starts walking away. Oh yeah I forgot. "Wait" I say stopping her. "Do you happen to know any disabled children?" I ask her. It takes her a few seconds but she eventually nods. "There's this house in the back corner of the village, im surprised their kid wasn't taken first but at that house there is a child that is weak in the legs" she says. "Ok then, I guess that's where I'll be hiding then" I say walking away.

Timeskip~

I arrive at the house to see that it is currently night time. Hmmm? I thought I'd have a bit more time. I knock on the door and two very kind looking people answer the door holding up a kid. "Hello?" A the man asks. Only then I realize I was staring at their kid for too long. "Gomen! I was just wondering if I could maybe spend the night here, it's really dark outside and I'm very tired!" I say bowing. "What part of the village did you come from?" The woman asks. "I'm not from this village, I just reached here from a village moreover" I say bowing. "Oh my! What a polite young woman, of course you can spend the night!" The woman says with a soft smile. " Arigatoo!" I say bowing. Ok I'm in, now to wait for this wretched demon.

Timeskip~

For the past 3 hours I have been sitting down in the living room waiting for the demon. The woman and the man kept telling me it was okay to sleep but I kept insisting I can stay up a little bit longer. I feel a small rumble in the floor. "It's here" I say opening my eyes. "Excuse me?" The woman says. "I thank you for letting me stay but right now I will have to take my leave you see, I did not come here because I was tired" I say out loud knowing the demon could hear me. The parents gave me a weird look like I was gonna rob them. "I am afraid to inform you two that there is a demon inside of your house!" I yell that part out loud to make sure the demon can hear. It works because a few seconds later a huge pounding can be heard as the demon appears in front of me. "You little brat! I'll kill you for exposing me!" It curses me.
